Fish slice beehoon, porridge or rice has always been my comfort food when I'm feeling unwell.Today, I'm feeling okay, but was craving for something less oily.Luckily, a friend help to queue for me hahaHe waited for 15 minutes.Anyway, their Q is forever long. But you knw - got Q in Singapore, means this stall is good.I think I'm quite a good critic of fish slice soup because I've tried manyyy different stalls. For $5, I don't know if the pricing is reasonable...The rice is little. The soup is normal, felt like there's quite some MSG.People say the soup is really fresh, but er....I drank better. The only good thing I can think of is their generous slices of fish = which then again, duh, you paid $5 please.I've to say their fish slices is good. Not thin, and not tough.Very easy to chew.Generally, a slightly above average meal la.I'm gonna try Piao Ji next time and compare~ continue reading

This is a very healthy choice for lunch but the queue can be crazy if you come during lunch. I usually come by on a Saturday and i still get to enjoy the healthy fish soup but minus the queue. The sliced fish tasted very fresh and no hint of MSG spotted in the soup as well. They added in a generous amount of vegetable to make this soup even healthier. There is a recent raise in prices, it used to be $4, $5 and $6 but it is $5, $6, $7 now but this is not going to stop me from going back! continue reading

Where should I start?? Han Kee fish beehoon had been my comfort food for the longest time!! The soup was light and clear. I especially loved the Chinese parsley and fried garlic/onions added, which definitely helped to highlight the already naturally sweet and flavourful fish broth. Vegetables were aplenty - high approval points given! The main star - the thick slices of Batam fish were fresh and tender. Han Kee was generous with their fish helping too.. you could not even see the pile of beehoon hidden under the massive fish slices. YUMMY!! I could eat this everyday! continue reading

i always come here for lunch on Saturday afternoon. There are 2 famous fish soup stalls in this food centre. My personal favorite is this stall. There is always a queue for this stall though not as long as other stall. But the service is definitely much faster. The sliced fish slices are in a much more generous portion and i prefer this soup too. The soup was rather clear with a slight peppery taste and no MSG added. Another reason for liking this particular stall is the generous amount of vegetable added. The Auntie taking the order can be a little temperamental at times. You need to be rather precise with your order if not she might gets a little impatient. I do not have an issue with her so far. Perhaps you should come by and try both talls for a comparison too. continue reading
