The FoodI ordered the wanton mee dry with lots of chilli. The noodle is springy and I like their handmade char siew roasted with charcoal the best !! Now, very hard to find other stalls that sell char siew roasted with charcoal. The chilli and wanton also nice. The ServiceAs I went on friday evening hence the queue is still acceptable. The auntie who take down orders also friendly with a smile. The AmbienceAlthough the stall is in a coffeeshop, i find that the place was well-ventilated and not stuffy hence still acceptableThe PriceReasonably priced at $3.50 for best charsiew and chilliOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

Their wanton mee is so addictive. I went back a few times after the first experience and i concluded this is the nicest wanton mee in Singapore. It tasted so old school. The waiting time can be quite long if you come during lunch or dinner. Their wantons are very tasty. This stall is still making their own char siew so their char siew has a good standard too. The texture of their noodle is springy and nice. Recommended. continue reading

I went there for dinner and although it was only 5.45pm, the place was already quite crowded. I ordered that comes with extra noodles. When I took my first bite of those noodles, I finally understood why it is so greatly publicised by the media. The magic of Koung's wanton mee lies in its impressive noodles which are exceptionally tasty. Smooth and springy in consistency, these noodles have a distinct egg fragrance that distinguishes it from other wanton noodles. The unique chilli sauce blends very well with the noodles, giving every strand a sweet and spicy flavour. The char siew is fresh and tender and the dumplings are simply delicious.Overall, Koung's Wanton Mee is definitely one of the best wanton noodles in Singapore. But in comparison with Hong Mao Wanton Mee, I have to disagree with my friend as I personally feel Hong Mao is much better. continue reading

I am a big fan of wanton mee and my friend recommended me to try the wanton mee from Koung's Wanton Mee. I was not surprise that the business was very good and the shop was crowded by i managed to get a seat. The wanton noodles was very Q and it has the nice eggy taste. The sauce used to season the noodles is also very tasty. The wanton dumpling was small but tasty. continue reading

I think i have found it. I have found what i am looking for in the taste of wanton mee. I am a superb fan of wanton mee and have been going around Singapore eating at different places to find the perfect taste. I stumbled upon this particular stall by chance. I was in the vicinity when i sent my Grandpa's handphone for repair. I drove past this coffee shop and the bright red color signboard caught my attention hence i decided to try it. Parking might be an issue if you come during the lunch or dinner period. I was there at about 2pm but their business seemed to be still really good at that time. And, almost every table in that coffee shop ordered their wanton mee. I given my order and seated down to wait. I waited for about 15 minutes or longer before it was served to my table by a nice Auntie. I was supposed to share this particular plate of wanton mee with my partner but i ended up finished about 75% of it. First mouthful and i fell in love with that taste. It tasted pretty distinctive and rather unique on its very own. The texture of the noodle was rather springy and al dente with an eggy taste. The portion of noodle was pretty good for $3.80 with quite a few slices of char siew and 3 rather big wantons in a bowl of hot soup. Their chilli must be one of their secret weapons, it was a little spicier than most but not overwhelmed. When writing this review, i started to craving for their wanton mee rather crazily. If you are looking for a perfect plate of wanton mee then perhaps you should give this a try then tell me whether you like it or not. Strongly recommended. continue reading
