This place has the best Roti Prata in the world as it has so much flavour and taste.  Me and my friend's children also endorsed it as great, so it must be quite something. We had the onion egg Prata which was generous of onions. It's also very tasty. My girls had the coin Prata and I tried one too. It's crispy on the outside yet kinda soft on the inside. Very good combination indeed. The curry gravy is the best! Spicy, tasty and full-bodied. Prata drowned in the curry is just awesome!!!Definitely coming back again for more goodness! continue reading

Sin Ming Roti Prata is a stall tucked away in a corner of a coffee shop along Sin Ming road. This stall is located across the road from LTA office. Although it is not prominently located, it has garnered quite a following. Many have raved that Sin Ming Roti Prata is the best prata stall. In addition, I know of some who would drive down specially just to satisfy their prata cravings. Hence, upon hearing all these, I just had to check this out.Sin Ming Roti Prata does not only sell pratas. They also sell Nasi Briyani, Nasi Goreng, Mee Goreng, Mutton and even Curry Fish Head. Nevertheless, their prata seems to be more popular. Plain Prata $0.90, Egg Prata $1.50I ordered a Plain Prata $0.90 and an Egg Prata $1.50. I had to wait for around 15 minutes as there was several customers ahead of me. The pratas are made freshly and cooked on the spot upon order which is something that I appreciate. Nothing beats freshly made and freshly cooked prata!Plain Prata $0.90, Egg Prata $1.50How was the prata? The exterior of the Plain Prata was slightly crispy while the interior was soft and chewy. I was disappointed at the lack of crispiness and also felt that it was too chewy. The shiokness of the crispiness and soft combination was lacking. As for the Egg Prata it was similar, lacking in the crisp factor. The fish curry was good, but not fantastic.I like my prata crispy, so well this is not for me. For me, I would still prefer having my prata from the Prata Place. Somehow, I did not feel satisfied with the prata from Sin Ming Roti Prata. If you prefer a less crispy (soft) and chewy prata, then this is for you! Its a matter of personal preference. Which type of prata do you prefer? Crispy or soft? continue reading

Found this roti prata place located at coffee shop along sin ming road hidden at a corner.Indeed the roti coin is too good on its own and by topping it with the fish curry, it will bring up the savoury taste even better.Found another nice way of eating the roti coin is by dipping it with the halfboiled egg ordered from the coffee shop drink stall. Traditional and yet innovative but be warned as it may not be to everyone's liking!4 stars (*_-) continue reading

I was constantly in search of good Prata, finally I found the one at Sin Ming Road. I would say the stall was a hidden gem for Indian Food, not only sells Roti Prata but also Nasi Briyani and Mee Goreng. I had to wait for around 15 minutes as there were several customers ahead of me, still considered acceptable. Environment was not that high-end, but clean and neat generally. This was the most decent Prata I tried so far, only $2.00 for two pieces enough to satisfy me. Freshly made guaranteed, Prata man flipped on the spot while orders placed. Nothing beats newly cooked Prata, it was slightly crispy with soft dough. I opted for bean curry, savoury but not really fantastic. Had my simple and economy lunch, Prata was a thin layer but filling. continue reading

We had tried many of the “Famous” roti prata around Singapore, from the Jalan Kayu to the Tampines and few others that used to be the talk of the town. However, most of the standard and quality have since been deteriorating so much that we are redundant to put it down as part of our review. We are vexed that the new generation or new business taking over seems not able to appreciate the art of the food, and allowing the centuries of glory built up ruined in the hand of the slothful generations. Will there be more poignant stories, we hope not.So far, we are so glad that Sin Ming Roti Prata unwaveringly preserves the dignity of the brand by maintaining the excellent standard throughout the years. We truly kowtow to the stall.Be it the regular prata or the coin prata, the dough are the same, though there is a wide range of add on options available to perk up your taste buds, we adamantly steadfast to the plain and egg version as it gives the most original taste and flavour of the good prata without masked by other flavours. We are truly impressed by the flavourful and fantastic texture of the prata, the prata are fluffy, chewy with crisp on the exterior and the taste were simply additive that you can eat on its own without dipping into the curry sauce. We love the fragrance of the buttery sweet taste from the dough and frankly, we can’t find any other roti prata able to whip up the same standard as Sin Ming Roti Prata so far. The standard roti prata from Sin Ming Roti Prata usually comes with either the fish or chicken curry, all the gravy are thick and savory, there is only a word to describe the curry “Damn Shiok”. We ordered the extra mutton curry so not to miss the dish. The mutton was tender and cooked to the perfection, eating with the prata made our brunch a wonderful meal for the weekend.Continue to read the review at http://ieatandeat.com/sin-ming-roti-prata-perhaps-best-roti-prata-singapore/ continue reading
