There is an Australian Roasted Chicken Cafe that is quite famous at the Raffles Place area. Hence, when I was at Raffles Place, I bought the Quarter Roasted Chicken set. This set included two sides of your choice. The Quarter Roasted Chicken looked big and smelled good with grilled aroma. The skin of the chicken tasted good with their special seasoning. The chicken meat was tender and juicy, however lacking in flavour, taste bland. The marinate or seasoning did not go into the meat.Overall, for eating roasted chicken I would still prefer Nando's or Morganfield's but their chicken portions was not as big. continue reading

This is my first time having lunch at Rotisserie with my friends. Not knowing what is nice here, i just ordered what looks appealing to me. I ordered quarter roasted chicken with brown rice and coleslaw. Was a bit disappointed as the brown rice tastes a bit under cooked. But fortunately the chicken is fabulous! Very tender and soft texture. The skin is awesome too I paid $11.50 nett for this dish. continue reading

(More pictures can be found at http://wildchildurbancity.blogspot.sg/2013/06/ribs-from-rotisserie.html)The Rotisserie is an Aussie cafe that serves up hearty Western food like roast chicken, fish and chips, pork knuckle and ribs, in a casual yet classy environment. I used to have to walk all the way to China Square for it, but after it opened another outlet at Chulia Street, I could get a working-late takeaway dinner more conveniently.I had eaten their roast chicken a few times (which is good value for the size of chicken you get), so that night I wanted to try something different. I went for their half slab of ribs with my choice of two sides being coleslaw and pumpkin spinach salad. At the store they had some pieces of chicken and pork knuckle on display, but no ribs. They took awhile with the ribs, close to ten minutes, I suspect because they had to quickly microwave my order.Nonetheless, the meat pretty much fell off each bone, and was lip-smackingly tender and good. If blindfolded I could have mistaken it for Tony Romas'. If you prefer it more raw, their coleslaw was as such, and not as finely diced as the type you get at KFC. I felt that they were a little stingy with the amount of coleslaw and pumpkin salad dished out, plus they gave me only a small piece of pumpkin. If you are doing a takeaway, they provide you with a knife, fork and serviette as well. They are placed beside the box, on the right, so that you can do a size comparison. The next meal I would like to try at The Rotisserie is the pork knuckle. But otherwise, if you are ravenous, I would suggest you go with the $11.50 quarter or $17 half roast chicken over the $17 ribs, as there is much more meat on the bird. continue reading

I have already come here for lunch a few times as it is very near my office and they roast chicken quarter set meal is always value for money. THis time round, came with my colleagues to do a xmas lunch here and I managed to get their special for xmas... turkey! Well yes I think the picture doesn't make it look too appetising and for those who love meat u probably find turkey a little like chicken breast--bland. Well i guess for health freaks they will maybe like the well balanced meal with a choice of 2 sides. I think the turkey is so-so and could have been nice to add some cranberry sauce instead of the same sauce for their chicken. continue reading

Despite that the price of the food of the restaurant keeps on increasing, this place is always crowded during lunch time. I chose the quarter chicken with fries for my lunch which I think is reasonable priced (though it is $11) as the serving is quite huge. If you wanna try other dishes (as such the pork knuckles which tastes quite good but sinful ) or the desserts, do share your main course with someone. continue reading
