Mee Siam usually can bee found in Malay stalls / restaurant. But Ya Kun also sells Mee Siam, so I ordered one to try when I went Ya Kun. Service is good. Overall the soup taste not bad. It comes with small bite toufu and egg. It is an economical type of mee siam. It costs $3.80. I think price is reasonable for a restaurant located in a shopping mall. Will come back to try out other food from here. Usually, customers order yakun toast bread when they are here. continue reading

Set C consists of 2 soft-boiled eggs, a cheese toast and a drink. I changed my drink to cold tea (with additional charges). The soft-boiled eggs were very very tasty! I love soft-boiled eggs The eggs were big and goes very well with the soy sauce & pepper! The toast were not very tasty in my opinion. The toast was not crunchy at all and it was a little soggy and soft which does not go well with cheese. The cheese was not nice too However there were a kaya dip and it tastes better with the bread. The service was good and there was a little waiting time for the toast. continue reading

I am never bored of Ya Kun traditional toast and ice milk tea. Of course the running eggs also. The serving crew will help you break the eggs, and the eggs look so nice. Some coffee shop will ask you to break it yourself. I never see them fail on cook the beautiful running eggs. You can order your favorite toast and drink in set.I love their traditional toast especially the butter in between the bread continue reading

Went to Ya Kun Toast on a random morning and ordered the Ya Kun Kaya Toast set as my breakfast. The bread are perfectly baked, crispy and smell nice, but the kaya filling is kinda too sweet to me. Well, I seldom eat half boiled egg, but i got to say that their half boiled eggs are quite nice. Half boiled eggs are always good to eat when they are served hot Cheap and yummy breakfast though. continue reading

ya kun has nice toast but it's still not comparable to the original killiney kopitiam! the toast here is a bit too thin and too lightly toasted. the filling is very good, with correct balance of kaya and butter. the butter is also half melted which is good. the kaya is fragrant is just right. the bread is abit too thin though. nice that the serving is quite generous. would go to ya kun on a pinch but it's not our first choice for kaya toast. continue reading
