I was attracted by the smell of bread to bakery point and I ordered a char siew bolo bun! Well, the price was $1.50 and my friend mocked at me and said that the price was been marked up! I didn't except to it be so expensive and the taste was not nice too. Well, it was soft and a bit warm when I held it, so I guess it was just baked from the oven; however, char siew inside was too hard for me to bite on! I don't like the texture at all. On top of that, I didn't like the way they spread the butter, there are patch of butter gather on one side which make it very salty! continue reading

I was walking past this bakery on the way to the MRT and the nice smell of bread bought me into the bakery. There is a fresh batch of buns out from the kitchen when I entered and I decided to buy one of these buns for tea. The bun I got was the red bean bun. I love how soft the bread is and somehow I thought the taste of the bun was quite light as well, there isn't a lot of dough. The red bean filling is also quite delicious as it is a 80/20 mixture of mashed red beans and red bean bits. The only thing is that I found it to be a little too sweet. Nonetheless, it is something that is simple yet delicious. continue reading

We were at Paya Lebar, so decided to pick up a snack to have along with our evening pearl tea. We walked into Bakery point & looked at their options. Finally we picked a blueberry muffin. IT was a big muffin that was really soft & spongy. It had an awesome blue berry flavour & was really filling. It was perfectly sweet & went really well with my cup of tea. I look forward to going to Bakery point again to try their blue berry muffin continue reading

This chocolate muffins are filled with generous amount of thick chocolate filling in it. The sponge cake is quit compact but if you taste it, you will realised that it is actually quite moist and soft. The portion is quite big and good to share it with a partner if you do not want to consume too much flour and sugar at one goal. Have it with some hot beverages which includes hot chocolate will be quite nice as well. continue reading
