I love pepper lunch to the max!!! I don't see how anyone can not get addicted to this place, I'll never get sick of it! I went to pepper lunch @ suntec yesterday and ordered my 2nd favourite pepper lunch meal - salmon pepper rice (1st being chicken pepper rice<3)! Pepper Lunch has maintained its standard (or even better) ever since the first time I tried it, which was two years ago. I always like to shuffle the rice and the bits of salmon/chicken around with a generous full sauce-plate of Honey Brown Sauce and watch it sizzle away. I frequent this branch a lot because I always like hanging out at Suntec City, and reason why I like this branch is that it is more secluded (cos' Suntec City area is currently under construction and usually less packed.). I also like the service there because the people there are super patient and accomodating. They are also flexible - for example I wanted to be seated at one of the inner tables instead of the one I was assigned to. I didn't notice that the inner area was cordoned off because they are about to close for the day. Yet they opened the inner area for me /touched & kinda embarrassed for not noticing! A big plus for my favourite restaurant. Also the meal comes with a drink (my fav is Iced Peach Tea) and a side - usually I choose ice-cream (Choose green tea!). The portion is perfectly right and you'll feel wonderfully satisfied and not overly full. The way to end a perfect night with good friends continue reading

Had pepper lunch for lunch. Had the salmon one and it was pretty good! Actually i think that their standard went up a little or perhaps it was just the place i was having it at. Love that i get to cook my food myself. Love that the salmon was fresh too and there was an abundance of fresh corn and pepper sprinkled over the rice. Love it!!It was really affordable too!!!!!! continue reading

Having had a heavy beef meal the previous night, I decided to opt for the Tomato Sauce Pasta with Chicken. It was served on a sizzling hot plate and did not look appetizing at first. After carefully stirring the sauce into it and making sure the sauce didn't splatter outside, it started to look more appetizing. The chicken's quality is decent as it didn't have the odd taste you get when you have frozen chicken meat. The Australian Hamburger patty was decent. The nice touch was the mushroom on the sizzling plate. The dish was nice with their sauces that you can add (which is available on their table)The two options togetherWe ordered for icecream and a drink in addition to the main course and the personnel working that day wasn't very experienced. When we had placed our order, he had not mentioned anything about the ice cream not being ready. When we wanted to claim our icecream, he then mentioned we needed to wait a little longer without giving an assertive approximate time. When we mentioned that we were heading somewhere else and wouldn't be able to come back, he just said I'm sorry then. It wasn't till we asked if we could have a drink in exchange that this option was brought up. I feel that the service could have been a little better here. While we were choosing our seats, the lady also was very particular with her seating area and insisted that we sat nearer to the outside of the shop though it wasn't our preference. The whole fast food format of Pepper Lunch honestly didn't look like the seats inside could all be "reserved". Perhaps there could have been a better way of communication. continue reading
