Signature Dishes
A secluded restaurant tucked in the Central part of Singapore. If not for the address, I would never know that such a restaurant exist amongst the commercial offices!Smoked Duck Linguine There were so much ingredients in one dish ~ smoked duck, asparagus & mushroom. For once, I needed to "find" the linguine in a pasta dish. And after we finished the linguine, there were still so much ingredients! Really worth the price and serving was good for sharing for 2.The smoked duck was done so perfectly ~ not dry & remained chewy with a nice smoked aroma that teased you for more helping. The asparagus, like a supportive actor, sliently added crunchiness to balance out the dish without taking away the glamour of the main star. Overall, super marvelicious! *Droolz again*Molten Dark Chocolate Fondant WOW. It was good. That was the exact statement I made after we devoured the dish in silent mode. Aiya, where got time to talk. The minute a person talk, it will mean an extra spoonful by the other person. And yes, that's how competitive we are when we eat good stuff. =pI like my molten chocolate to be slightly crispy on the outside and not too moist. That was exactly how the chocolate fondant here tasted like. With a little cut, the dark chocolate oozed out uncontrollably, which simply melted in the mouth. The ice-cream was undeniably , a great match, with the molten chocolate. A must try for chocolate lover!Visit http://fun-hideout.blogspot.sg/2011/08/hosted-on-patio.html to read more & view photo!

I had made a reservation for two at "Hosted on the Patio" to sort of celebrate our 11 years together. Both of us ordered the Grilled Angus Sirloin Steak Cooked in Medium ($30). I ordered the Bitter Chocolate and Banana Rum Tart ($10) Hubby ordered the Marbled Cream Cheese Cake ($10) We enjoyed both the desserts but I felt the the steak was rather forgettable.Total bill came up to $94 for the 2 mains and 2 desserts. For full review and more photos, visit http://www.ylyn-journal.blogspot.sg/2010/12/hosted.

For full review and photos, please visit shirlynnyang.blogspot.comHosted on the patio (HOTP) is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in a private compound in the west. You can say its ulu, but more often than not, I like such secluded places as it means less crowd and more peace for me. Though, I would not say I like HOTP as much as other places. To get to HOTP, you can take a train to Labrador Park station on the circle line and walk for 5 min. Nobody will be able to chance upon HOTP because it is located right inside this private area where many other offices are located. I thought that was pretty weird.I ordered the Eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was super sour and the whole dish just tasted like vinegar. Definitely one of the worst eggs benedict I've eaten.Lucky we bought the Groupon. I definitely will not want to pay so much for such ridiculous food.

Finally got the chance to bring my hubby to Hosted at the Patio for lunch on my day off!! I suggested for him to try the Smoked Duck Linguine and he said that even tho he is not one who likes stew, he found the linguine very flavorful and good. I wanted to be adventurous and got myself a spicy beef cubes penne. The beef cubes were wonderfully seared on the sides and then tossed in the spicy tomato sauce. Very very MmMmmmMm... This place, with their attentive but not in-your-face wait staff, just cannot do wring by my books!!!

Went to this interesting restaurant for their set lunch menu which cost only S$20++ per pax. They change their set lunch menu every week! so you'll be surprised every week! however it's not applicable for weekends. For salad... that baby arugula is refreshing in ginger soyu vinegrette match with salami. very nicely done. Their braised chicken thigh meat is very tender and what a great source i must say! If it comes with pasta or rice would be fantastic!pasta - greatly made linguine and dessert which made from fresh bananan coated with bitter chocolate bits & cinnamon wrapped in spring roll pastry then deep-fried to golden brown really goes well with vanilla ice cream!
