Out of all the various options to eat Fried Chicken, this would be my pick. The batter coated fried chicken has a unique taste, and the meat is still relatively juicy, without being too oily. I also feel that the Fried Fish is pretty good. Personal favourite for sides include the Biscuit, Mashed Potato, Corn and Onion Rings. I always look forward to that buttery explosion of flavour from biting into a biscuit, and it crumbles so easily in the mouth. The mashed potato comes bathed in a tasty brown, meat gravy that goes really well together. The corn is very tasty! And the onion rings are huge circles of battered and fried onion slices, still juicy on the inside and gives a nice crunch when bitten. continue reading

I'm not a fast food fan but when it comes to popeyes, I simply cannot resist. I first tried it out with the hubby because I was absolutely intrigued by the American version of the "biscuit". What we know, the British "biscuit", is a piece of thin crispy crusty pastry. But the American "biscuit" is this wonderful ball of scone like pastry, crispy on the outside and crumbles at your touch. It's absolutely delightful! And of course the thing you must try is the popeye's mash potato! Again, not the usual gravy we know but this one has lots of ingredients in its gravy including bacon bits! How could that possibly go wrong? All the sides in popeyes are absolutely tantalising and we often wish to order every single side we could get our hands on!Of course the chicken is good, tender, boneless, not dry and just goes perfectly with all the sides. Yes! To us, the sides are the true stars of the meal! Alright, so the price is a little on the steep side but not to worry! Popeyes reguarly have promotions and if you're on a budget like us, we like to wait for the family or buddy offers where they have multiple items for a promotional price. That way you get to try plenty of different items on their menu too!Regardless, if you want to try cajun (people from Louisiana, USA) food without going to a fancy restaurant, popeye's the place to go! Especially since they now have many branches around Singapore! continue reading

I extremely love the new promotional item of Popeyes: Wicked Chicken!Well, this item is basically breaded chicken strips. Very delicious. I read online that they are “Wicked” because of their gnarly shape.Popeyes describes them like this: "Popeyes new Wicked Chicken is wickedly good, thin strips of tender, juicy, all white meat chicken marinated with authentic Louisiana seasonings, hand-battered and breaded in the restaurants, served up crispy, twisty, curly and wicked!"The breaded chicken strips are handy in size and easy to eat, I like the special taste of spicy and sweet at the same time, it contains tobasco pepper sauce, yum. Since the pieces are tossed in the dressing, be sure to request for a fork or napkins if you're having it on the go.$3.90 for ala carte, $2.90 for add-on to any purchase of meal. continue reading

I love Popeyes's chicken tenders because they're pure meat, boneless, less oily (personally) and easy to eat! My mom and I shared a 5-piece chicken tenders meal, it also came with fries and the unique biscuit w Smuckers strawberry jam. For drink, she took coffee.I always enjoy the biscuit as it tastes just like scones, crispy on the outside and soft bread on the inside, it also melts in my mouth too, great with the jam. The chicken tenders were tasty as usual, both my mom and I loved it as we both are not fans of fatty meat. continue reading
