This stall is known for its delicious Avocado juice($2.50). One can see number of posters about its signature drink around the stall. But there is also various fruit juice available at this stall. One of them is the Durian Milk which is quite uncommon in most fruit juice stalls. It costs $2.50 a cup. The preparing of the juice is quite fast. The drink is full of the durian taste and tastes quite thick. Most of my friends can smell the drink, when it is served in a sealed up cup. continue reading

This hawker centre is littered with many fruit juice stores. All of them feature Avocado as their signature drink. Since me and 4 friends have nit tried any of these stalls before, we ordered one from each stall and shared the drinks. All five of us agreed that King Avocado's drink was the best among all tested, while the very well-marketed "Mr-Avocado" is the worst.King Avocado features the thick and rich flavour of the fruit, while also not being too sweet to be sick of it after a cup or two. i found myself going for the King Avocado's cup more than any of the others.Mr Avocado's offer is a more diluted one, it was almost as if they just soaked an avocado in ice water and served it to me. the stall front is littered with newspaper cut outs promoting his stall. All 5 of us found ourselves going for King Avocado's juice more, and ordered 3 more cups from the stall to share. At $2.50, the drink is fabulous especially on a warm day. continue reading

Avocado fruit juice $2.50. The texture of the juice was unlike the very watery kind but it was not too thick too. It resembled somewhat like smoothie and was just right for me. The avocado taste was distinct and fresh however it was quite sweet and I could feel that the sweetness was enhanced by artificial sweeteners. They should go easy on the sweetness. If you love avocado juice, you should give it a try as this stall is after all famous for their avocado juice. continue reading

After a hearty family dinner nearby, we walked over here to have a dessert drink @ Avocado KingThe Mellow avocado milkshake tastes sweet and subtle as it soothes the oil savoury dinner I had earlier. Ours , with added chocolate syrup, did not look appealing but the taste gets enhanced to an even creamier texture. $2.50 is without chocolate, and $3 is with chocolate continue reading

Located at one side of the Alexandra Food Centre you will find three green signboards proclaiming themselves to be the true avocado drink experts. I decided to try King Avocado instead of the usual Avocado King, under the assumption that if there were to be 3 stalls nearly side by side selling the same products, the quality should be of a comparable level. One sip of this $2.50 avocado blend and I knew instantly that my assumption was proven wrong. This drink wasn't cold and had no real flavour. It tasted fake, sorely lacking in the rich sweetness of gula meleka. The thickness of the drink, without any rich aromatic sweetness, made it taste more like a haphazard cream blend with no real taste -not even avocado. Strangely, when diluted, it was much more palatable... this cup found its way to the rubbish bin even before I could finish half. I wouldn't even pay for this, let alone a price of $2.50. You're way better off drinking the original Mr. Avocado. continue reading
