Ate at this stall twice when my favourite stalls were not opened. Had the Fishcake Fishball Mee Pok ($4) on both occasions, once with chilli and once without. The mee pok without chilli was bland with a alkaline "ghee" taste and was quite soggy. The second time I had the mee pok with chilli, it was better and nicer, at least the chilli covered the "ghee" taste, so it was more edible. So, my take is have the mee pok in lots of chilli. The chilli is quite nice actually. The noodles really need to be improved on, for those who dont take chilli, it is really quite a chore to finish a bowl of alkaline taste noodles. The only thing that I like at this stall is their special handmade fishcake, it is really delicious and is what keep me going to this stall despite their lacklustre noodles. Next time, I probably will just buy the individual fishcake on its own. continue reading

I was looking for a quick lunch and settled on mee pok from this stall which sells fishball noodles. There was a short queue during off peak lunch hours, and my friend has recommended this stall previously, so I decided to give it a try. It's an average bowl of fish ball noodles, and the mee pok was a little dry but still tangy. The fishballs were chewy and didn't taste too much like flour. Soup had MSG taste though. continue reading

This is a disappointing fishball noodle. I thought i saw the displayed of some newspaper and expected it to taste nice. The texture of the mee pok was alright but the chilli has no distinctive flavour and it seemed really dry. The mee pok came with fishball, fishcake and some miced meat. They added bean sprouts and fried pork lards as well. I do not think i will go back again. continue reading
