I ordered the watercress soup from the claypot rice stall. The soup is boiled with pork ribs, red dates and wolfberries. It is supposed to be very nourishing and good for health. The soup is quite sweet, the watercress is being boiled till very soft, in which you don't need to chew for long before you swallow it, I assume the fiber is good for digestive system too. continue reading

I was feeling a bit heaty and decided to order the steamed soup to go with my dinner. I had the "old cucumber" with pork ribs soup ($3). The soup base is very sweet, although you can't really see lots of pork ribs inside. There are plenty of old cucumber and a couple of red dates in the steamed soup. This claypot rice, when i went with my friends, there's a short queueThe rice is well charcoaled, not very "chao ta" The meat from this stall is so well marinated that it has this perfect sweetness permeating through the tenderness.
