I came to this market with my friend initially to try a food stall but they were sold out already! We were there around 3 plus pm and it was too late by then. I guess the market here operates from morning till after lunch as many stalls were close. This prawn noodle stall is one of the few ones that remain open and I decided to try it. The noodles and ingredients were okay but the broth was lacking much in flavour. continue reading

I love hawker food somehow. One of my ultimate foods was Prawn Soup Noodle. The best part of this dish no doubt was the soup. I would always finish every drop of the soup, but for this Prawn Noodle it was too oily for me. The prawn was fresh I admit yet the portion was small, I meant the kway teow inside the soup was little. It costed $3.50 which considered costly in hawker centre. continue reading

After eating the bak kwa in the office, i'm a bit full, so thought of going for a light lunch with colleagues. Not sure whether it's because the bak kwa i had was too tasty, it makes my bowl of pork slice beehoon with prawn soup very tasteless...Soup is clear but there's nothing much to brag about the soup base. They also selling wanton noodle, prawn noodle, "tong xin" noodle, etc....i hope all the other types of noodle would taste ok. So will try again some other time on them. continue reading

Prawn noodles sold here are good to look but not rich in taste to me.The overall presentation looks so good and rich as the soup has got a thick brown colour to it,prawns were deboned and pork sliced wth kang kongs and crispy fried pork fats added but overall taste was not satisfying for me as it didn't have a rich prawn's stocks but very thin soup base. But again the many times i observed the customers from this stall ordered the dry version so maybe the chilli sauces are good? continue reading
