My roommate suggested me in having chinese mixed vegetable rice as my dinner before going back to home after office works, so I picked 2 vegetable and 1 meat on the plate of white rice, then the waitress requested me for payment of $3.20. I felt that the price is extremely expensive than the other rice expert store like Hong Xin in NTUC FoodFare at Admiralty because they only charge $3.50 for 2 vegetable and 2 meats for NTUC members. In addition, Chang Cheng Chinese Mixed Vegetable Rice 长城 used to be the best of Singapore's cooking store for the past few years. However, their standard had dropped after my dinner last evening. If you don't believe, you can go there and try yourself. continue reading

I always liked to have a mixture of vegetables and meat which is why I always have order a least one meaty dish and one vegetables. The other dish I would usually order is egg, but this time around, I got the egg tofu. The egg tofu is quite normal. Usually I get 4 pieces of tofu, and this time around it is no exception. As for the chicken, it is quite nice, I love how it is a little spicy which adds a more interesting flavour to the chicken meat. The vegetables are below average though, I felt that it is overcooked and is a little too salty for my liking. continue reading

Ordered my usual favorite of sweet and sour porks, prawn paste chicken and steamed egg. I ordered almost the same items no matter which mixed vegetable stall i go. The 3 dishes were nicely cooked, definitely one of the better ones around. I loved the prawn paste chicken especially, the chicken pieces were nicely marinated and fried with its crispiness still intact. The sweet and sour porks were one of the best that i tasted from different mixed vegetable stalls, too. if you want a nice plate of mixed vegetable rice then you gotta try this stall. continue reading
