Went to the outlet at changi airport at around 3pm for the buffet. Only 1 table was occupied. Something not to be missed whenever I dine at Sakae Sushi- Ebikko. I love flying fish roe a lot! But the sad part is it is very filling(cause of the rice). I also love cha soba. However the one at this outlet was overcooked. The soba was softer. The one at plaza singapura is much better. An item you should definetly order is the chawamushi. If all else fail there is still the chawamushi to save the day. I like it, there is crabmeat, mushroom and glass noodles in it. I ate 2 portion of it.Wanted to eat some tempura and the only one I could order is from the handroll. The prawn is nice and the batter is crispy. You could taste more of the prawn from the tempura on than the fried one. The honey sakura ebi was so so. A little too sweet. Not something you should order, considering that it is a pink plate. It is also a pink plate. Tasted like I was eatiing oil. Texture very crispy. Not nice at all. For my red plate I had Tako Sashimi. It was okay but the one I ate at plaza singapura was fresher. The Spicy Salmon Gunkan served here was also a little more spicier than the one at other outlet. The Salmon Sushi at scape is fresher.Overall after the meal I was bloated. My stomach almost exploded. If you order the right item, it is definitely worth your money and stomach. continue reading

These mini sushi are freshly made daily which is definitely tasty and good for health too since no much seasoning are adding in it and only the natural sweetness from the wrapped ingredients and nice fragrant japanese rice are use in their sushi. The prices may be abit high but the taste is definitely more than my normal expectation. Love those crunchy cucumbers and sweet fragrant egg omelette in it that goes really well with the japanese rice and seaweed wraps. continue reading

another average sushi place. conveyor belt system. there is also a computer at your table for you to select what you want so you don't have to get the waiter. but that must have malfunctioned because they brought food to our table that we did not order but they said came from our computer. there is a hot water tap to refil your green tea which is a tea bag in your cup. the computer system is interesting but it doesn't seem to be accurate. rather over priced after the GST and service charges. the sushi wasn't that great tasting but the size was generous. continue reading

After my graduation thing in Expo, T3 was the place to go after a poor snack buffet served after. Not knowing anywhere else, we saw the stair sticker from afar and headed to Sakae Sushi afterwards for a pipin' bowl of ramen, to commemorate that its somewhat like a birthday after all, but far more important! It was my diploma after all hard earned, and after almost 5 hours of starving in the ceremony, good food is what I needed and flavorful broth is the best cure to any rambling tummy.Ordering the standard sliced pork ramen for $14, I quickly dug in as there was the egg waiting! Sadly of course, SS is not the place to have your ramen fix as hello, Singapore got tons of original ramen places that just keeps on popping up, but the least to say that noodles were cooked al dente, broth was not as thick and flavorful (but hungry anyways) and vegetables were decent. When the bowl came, it wasn't has hot as I expected as it was freezing cold from the expo and in the airport, so I asked for a reheat and I bet it was microwaved and not pot heated. If it was an original Japanese-head resto, I would get a lot of freebies from this. Japanese courtesy I adore! Hehe continue reading

Came here with my friend for lunch. Their food is average. I like the Fried Tofu as the skin was really crispy and the tofu was very soft. (Though I don't quite know the difference between that and Agedashi Tofu.) However, the plates of sushi that were on the conveyor belt were disappointing. The rice was rather dry and it didn't taste good at all. Felt like it was left on conveyor belt for a long time. I ordered the teppanyaki beef too and asked for it to be done medium rare. However the beef came out plain and very difficult to chew. Chicken Cheese katsu was mayb a bit on the salty side but it was cheesy and nice, so no complains.I can always count on my Agedashi Tofu to be delicious, nice and firm and the sauce is always the best. Not too salty and goes well with wasabe.Service was good. Overall a good experience. continue reading
