Went for a pre-birthday celebration lunch there with two dear friends. The food was awesome. We tried the Lukefella fish fillet which came in a pretty bed of salt and whole spices. Beautifully sweet oyster taste came through although they should've warned us that there is already squeezed lemon in the fillet.Next came our costly fish fillet - 4 kinds which we've asked Travis to pick for us - and as with luck of the draw, we got to taste the Blue Point from Massachesette -Overall a Happy Meal...now if only they could reduce the amount of salt. And that pricey tag $84 for the meal- some of which were really slivers and not as succulent (read forgettable), its quite a pinch! continue reading

If you are looking for a decent meal and VERY good dessert, do drop by at Luke’s. During this trip to Luke’s, I ordered a Lobster Mac and Cheese which was far too cheesy for my liking, but hey, if you like cheese this is totally the thing for you. For dessert, we ordered a banana coconut tart with avocado ice cream at the suggestion of the waiter. Despite my initial misgivings – I mean avocado ice cream? I’ve never heard of that before and moreover I did not like avocado. And banana coconut tart? How does that work out! Nevertheless, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. All 3 flavours somehow managed to blend together to create one of the nicest desserts I’ve ever had in Singapore. continue reading
