After reading one of the reviews from open ricer, i decided to try it out myself. Looks so yummy and nice! I order the curry chicken, which i think great! I can't describe how good it is, but the texture of the chicken was soft and can by bite easily even if you are without teeth. The curry was nice, not very spicy and not oily at all ( can see oil floating on the surface)! They are famous for their bak kut teh, but i didn't try it as i wanted something spicy! Maybe will go again next time! continue reading

Presenting one of the best Singapore Bak Kut Teh! *Tada* The one and only store located at 59 New Upper Changi Road! The first dish is herbal chicken with real nice soup based. The herb tasted was very strong and sweet. I like the wolf berries they used; juicy and big! The chicken was very tender, but I will prefer it to be boneless! The you tiao was very crispy and I really like it when dipped into the Bak Kut Teh! Here come the main lead! The Bak Kut Teh! Well, initially it looks weird to me, and I wondered what is that whole bunch of vegetable doing there. Usually the normal bak kut teh don't come with this! But it was really nice! The ribs were cooked till soft and it was so easy to separate the meat with the bone by using chopstick. The soup is nice, but I still prefer the herbal chicken more! continue reading

This stall sells the Klang Bak Kut Teh in piping claypot in a coffeeshop setting. We ordered the mixed version which is $7 per head and I ordered 3 portions. It contains Pork Rib, slices of pork belly, intestines, stomach, liver, bean curd, mixed mushrooms etc. It comes in a clear soup with a light herbal taste. The soup is tasty but each person only gets only 1 ribs and not the prime rib type. The claypot Liver is the best dish that I like among the items order. It comes piping hot in a claypot with fragrant wine & black sauce which is very tasty to go with rice. The salted vegetable is slightly sweet and not very salty and it is a nice appetizer. The dough stick is not bad and goes well with the bak kut teh soup. I would have preferred it crispy. continue reading
