Had lunch and got Yong Tau Foo with curry soup and rice. Total $3.50. The ingredients i picked are mainly hot dog, fish cake, wanton skin, you tiao and others. I also got the salted egg cause i love them so much and apparently only this Yong Tau Foo stall has them. The other canteen in stall doesn't serve salted egg at all. Anyway from the lower left of the picture above, you can ser that some of the ingredients are overcooked. Instead of golden brown they hover more towards the dark brown nature . Anyway luckily its not chao ta (burnt) or else its really inedible. The salted egg yolk like abit chewy which is not what i am used to eating. The curry is awesome. Made up for the other imperfections of the yong tau foo. The stall also has maggie noodles as one of the alternatives. I am so going to try it next time! continue reading

Thinking of having something soupy for lunch, so queue up at the Yong Tau Foo to select the items. For 7 items, it costs $2.40. Additional item is charge at $0.40 per piece. For choice of noodle, I selected macaroni, which is seldom found in Yong Tau Foo stall. Total I am charged $3.20 for 8 items and noodles.I have my order served in soup, with the crispy served in a separate bowl. Taste quite light. continue reading

If you had tired of selecting food material at Yong Tau Fu stall, you can try to order the Wan Tan Mee with some cha siew on it !But for me, the mee was so so, wasn't that impressive, as in the mee taste only the dark sauce. but for quantity wise is a lot, as my friend also can't finish it last time. The cha siew was great, smell good and look good !Redish colour of cha siew make me swallow my own saliva when i was hungry Taste abit salty, but its good for me. continue reading

However the ingredients are quite small, and not fresh, so i seldom buy from this stall. howevery my friend always like to eat the food from this stall continue reading

Although the variety of the yong tau foo here is not too many, but the freshness is a big plus. The vegetables are very fresh, and nicely stacked together. the home made dumplings are tasty too. The soup here is slightly on the plain side, which means you won't feel thirsty after drinking it. However, it would be better to have stronger flavour though. continue reading
