Introduction
Churrascaria is Portuguese for "barbecue restaurant". The friendly knife-wielding passadors move around the tables, carving the succulent meats from large skewers onto your plates. At a mere SGD$49.00 now, one could eat their hearts out at this buffet meat joint. Even if you are not a fan of grilled meat, rest assured that there is plenty at the Salad Bar counter to keep you satisfied, and full. The range of 15 hot and cold dishes goes from Chicken Salad, Beetroot Salad, Potato Salad etc to Samosas, Salmon with Basil Sauce, Beef Goulash, etc. After your meat feast, feel free to help yourselves to this wide array of fruits and desserts comprising of muffins and cakes. We could not help feeling excited. So, how the grilled meat goes about here is that the servers would come over to each table with their giant skewers of aromatic grilled meats. If we are all set to welcome their approach, we flip the card of the table to Green, exhibiting "Por Favor"; if you do not wish to be approached, simply flip to Red, informing them "Obrigado".We enjoyed the beef, lamb and honey ham. There were also Chicken in Bacon Rolls as well as Grilled Fish Fillet. The chicken in bacon rolls did not leave much of an impression unfortunately, but had a good crunch in its texture. The fish was luscious in flavour, once you bite through the crispy exterior. My favorite of the night was Honey Pineapple. I am never a pineapple fan, except when it is being made into drinks or desserts; mostly because of the tongue-cutting sensation one gets when eating pineapples. These pineapples were very sweet (duh), and contained a hint of smokiness to it that made me keep asking for serving after serving. For full review and more detailed information, please feel free to refer:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/09/dinner-at-carnovire-brazilian.html continue reading

Note to self: Do NOT go to carnivore in large groups! So my 20 odd friends and I went to carnivore as a part farewell gathering. I don't know if the servers are not used to large groups or something, but the servers are so SLOW! so we had to fill up with the buffet inside with is not very satisfactory. The buffet choices are just too limited! However, the actual meat that the servers gave us (when they actually get to us) is really good! pity they they are just too slow. Also when you go in large groups, they tend to get less meat as the servers would serve people in smaller groups as there isn't enough meat to go around (i think). It would be worth it if you go in groups like 2-3 considering the quality of the meat. continue reading

We sat at the "out-door" area and the ambience was great! The buffet salad bar has good variety. The setting was very clean and pleasant. The greens were crispy and fresh which I had enjoyed very much. They actually made consumption of meat less sinful. The fish was very soft and tender with burst of sweetness at each bite.We had chicken, sausages, beef of different cuts and lamb. The beef and lamb were just average. And fish was the best among all!The service was great and the stuffs were warm and friendly. continue reading

I was there on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty filled and I thought there should be something good to expect. Once you are seated, you can get your drinks, and proceed to the salad bar to start your meal. Salad barThere was really nothing impression. There were some Japanese mini squid thingy which tasted and looked exactly like those you can get from Giant. Nothing memorable there. SauceI feel that there are too many sauce choices there, and I have no clue which one goes with what kind of meat. Perhaps a standard set will be good. One for red meat, another for white, and a spicy one for both. PorkOverall, pork was dry. No good. ChickenOverall chicken was ok. The bacon wrapped ones were not bad, because it has bacon. I think it will be better there were just wings, or drum stick. BeefIt is sad that I enjoy the beef wrapped in bacon more than the sliced beef. The beef really needs its own sauce.Fish and pineapple were fantastic. Hence the photo below.Service was excellent. Everyone was polite and service was prompt. They attend to all my requests and exceed my expectations. continue reading

Tried almost all the meats and most of them are cooked nicely. Top of my list is the Rum Beef and Fish. Had 2 servings of the Rum Beef as the meat is tender and juicy. The fish wise is tender too, and is not overcooked. Dislike the lamb the most, probably because I am not a lamb person because of the heavy lamb meat smell. Other than meats, they do also have a salad buffet spread for customers to choose from. The variety of it is not as much as other buffet table, but it can still fill u up even before the meat server to starts to walking around the table.Price is a little pricey, as meat can fill you up easily, so you won't make another round to the buffet spread for the second time. continue reading
