I ordered a fried rice but they cooked something totally different to what I ordered, which annoyed me but since it turned out to taste good, I didn't mind too badly. Had to wait in the queue for 30 minutes! Someone had ordered 10 boxes of takeaway! Anyway this ginger pork and rice dish is quite tasty and the meat is soft and easy to chew. The rice is abit hard but it's not too bad. Comes with a fried egg which is cooked by someone from the next stall. It's good but not worth the long wait in the queue! continue reading

if it only was that the rice was all warmed up but the sweet sour pork which of course, is cooked with the sauce all over and it's cold when I received it because it should've been cooked out earlier in the day, a pop in the microwave solved the problem because I tapaod.Generous in the rice portion, I had left a lot of rice left because there wasn't a bit left of the pork. Ordered a sweet sour pork rice to go for $4, this mini wok space is also famous for other rice specialties.Pork was chewy and the sweet sour sauce was flavorful with the paprika and tomato bits!but then, the price of course was higher compared to other stalls around the same vicinity. Although this was the usual standard of rice dishes, I object where it's a market and I can get for lesser price continue reading

This stall is quite like those zi char stalls where you can find in hawker centres, just that it does not sell zi char, but rather those single person dishes like horfun, fried rice, sweet sour pork rice, pork ribs rice etc. I was there on a Sunday night and there were 2 persons queuing before me. As the owner cooks everything on the spot, I had to wait slightly less than 10minutes before my dish of sliced fish horfun is cooked. To be honest, the portion is very small, but the ingredients are quite substantial for this portion. I counted at least 7 slices of fish and generous servings of beansprouts. It is also not too oily unlike other horfuns that I have eaten before. It would be a must eat if only its serving of horfun is more, but otherwise, it is quite a great choice of dish if you are not too hungry. continue reading
