Visit http://www.umakemehungry.com/2014/02/million-fishball-noodle.htmlTucked at a corner of 130 BGAIN Eating House of Jurong Gateway road, Million stall sells a fair share of yummy fishball noodles. The stall was pasted with articles complimenting its delicious bowl of noodles, especially on its freshness of fishballs.Im not a fan of fishballs, thus I got mushroom and minced meat noodle as my order. Mee Pok had a consistent texture and blended well with the brown sauce from the braised mushroom as well as the spicy chilli sauce. Coupled with a handful of minced meat and a few pieces of lettuce to pair along with the bowl of noodles. I realized that they had a different method of cooking, the prawns and minced meat were cooked way before hand and stored in a separate bowl. They were only placed on top of the noodle once the noodles were evenly mixed by the stall assistant.Overall, I find that bowl of noodle was pretty decent over the lunch meal. Nothing much to rave about. continue reading

I ordered this minced meat mee pok dry($3.50) but was given 2 pieces of prawn to replace pork meatball as they're running out of it.Their mee pok is over cooked and it is near to soggy kind.I still prefers mee pok that is QQ type. The tomato sauce is near to bland and i had to add the soy sauce to it to taste flavorful. The only plus point is the soup which quite naturally sweet. For add on,i bought the fish cake($1.20).Their fish cake is remarkably good as it is QQ and does not have the fishy taste. continue reading

I went to take away the fishball noodle to eat in the office. I ordered the smaller one as i was not very hungry. The mee pok got 6 fishballs and no fishcake. The chilli sauce did not taste spicy. It got tomato sauce taste too. No fried pork lards only the spring onions in the noodle so the taste is quite normal. The fishballs were bouncy and nice. The overall taste is only average. continue reading

The fishballs here are the really winning secret for their fishball noodles. These fishballs are bouncy, big, with that 'QQ' factor in it. They are also freshly made daily so you can really feel that they do not have that 'overnight' taste in it. The yellow thick noodles are chewy and not soggy. Like their sambal chilli alot and taste delicious in tossing the noodles as well as using it to dip the fishballs. Lots of beansprouts are added in it which makes the noodles extra crunchy too! One of my favourite noodles stall! continue reading
