Subway is practically a national craving. Despite advertising Subway as a 'healthy' meal, I can say for sure it is not as healthy as you think. I mean, everyone's omitting their veggies and spamming sauces and processed meats, how healthy can it be? Not to mention cookies and soft drinks... But when a craving's here, what can you do? Answer it, of course.Today I tried a different combination from my usual Honey Oat + Ham + No Veggie + Honey Mustard (which is fab). I ordered Hearty Italian + Tuna + Lettuce + Honey Mustard. 6-inch. Plus one chocolate chip cookie (!!!) - Altogether $6 ($5 combo + $1 cookie/chips)I would say this Subway branch does it better than other outlets. You know why? Usually the bread is so overly-toasted (in Jurong Point's branch esp) it gives me a sore throat after eating it. Not only once but three times, so it is not my throat's fault... But today's subway bread didn't give me a sore throat. Unfortunately they kinda squashed my bread when they were handling it. There was quite a queue so maybe they are in a rushed. I don't really care about squashed sandwiches as long as they taste good. I also particularly enjoyed their service because one of the staff (in the picture below, most left) because he is very quick in clearing the trays, and does it in a polite-professional manner instead of a i-want-to-chase-you-away manner. The rest of the staff were also nice although there was a long queue. This outlet is unfortunately quite small. Only 5 tables inside and 6 tables outside. Each table only has 2 chairs. And the placement of the tables and chairs are super squeezy, so most customers are either sitting back-to-back or they buy takeaways. Sooo squeezy! But in general there's no lack of chairs and tables because majority of the people buy takeaways. There are some houseflies flying around though. :/ But the general environment is clean. Just annoying flies flying around. I like the experience eating here... cozy and pleasant. continue reading

Brought a six inch subway club with the honey oat bread. The subway club consist of the main ingredients which includes sliced turkey breast, sliced roasted beef and sliced ham. With the addition of the cabbage, tomato and pickles, it produce a crunchy texture and on top of that, it has a well combination of meat and vegetable. I personally thick that the turkey breast, roasted beef and the ham are sliced too thin. The bread wise is well baked and has a soft texture. continue reading
