After a short evening run, I popped by this place to dabao my dinner. A random choice led me to order Tom Yam Ramen.It was pretty much like that of Ban Mian, just Tom Yam flavoured, which was great since Ban Mian always have an egg in it! Now I must make this disclaimer, that I let the ramen sat too long before I ate it (after the journey home and a bath). What resulted was a slightly slimy texture in the ramen and it got all spicy! The chilli padi must have simmered too long and oozed out its juice!!! So, I was gasping to cool my tongue throughout my meal! Not enjoyable at all! Not to mention I had to down Sparkling Water to cool my mouth further! The egg, surprisingly, didn't cook fully (yay!) and I almost threw the yolk away when I didn't realise it was EGG YOLK (thought it was some spice used, with texture like that of a potato and thought it was potato for a while though it didn't make sense)!! Thank God I salvaged it from the little pile of chilli padi I scooped out earlier! Will patronise this stall again, if I need a Ban Mian fix. If I ever want to eat Tom Yam Ramen again, I will dine in! No way am I going to let those chillies take the joy out of the food from me!
