This waffle is very disappointing. They actually pre-made the waffle beforehand and heat it when the customer want it. Thus, making the texture weird; crispy on the outside but the inside was very soggy! The kaya they spread on my waffles was too little, all i taste was the floury waffles with soggy texture. The store assistant looks very reluctant to serve the customers which upset me more! The waffle costs $1.30 for kaya fillings. continue reading

I have no doubt with Swee Heng's products. Most of them are awesome, be it swiss roll, cakes and etc. Their products are best for breakfast or teatime.I bought this box of 6 in 1 bread that consists of different flavours like pork floss, cheese, chocolate flakes, sausage and ham. Pretty worth at $3.50 a box which is about $0.50-$0.60 each. How about that? But bear in mind that you can't keep it long as it usually lasts for 2 days. But I guess this box will be finished fast for a family of 4. Their pork floss bread is best! continue reading

I usually go to Swee Heng for my daily bakery needs. I love how the breads are baked fresh and can be smelt a mile away (which usually attracts me in the first place). I rate the freshly baked breads here 8/10. My favorite bun has got to be the red bean bun! Hence, I decided to try them at Swee Heng. I love the soft texture of the soft sesame seed bun that is filled with a generous amount of red bean paste. The filling in the bun had just the right amount of paste. The buns not only taste fresh but smell fresh too. However, the buns taste pretty normal with nothing spectacular that make them stand out from its competitors. I found the pricing to be pretty expensive as well ($2). I don't think I'll be back for the buns as they were nothing above average. I do recommend the freshly baked breads though! continue reading

Brought a packet of the red bean bun. The bun is sprinkle with seasme seed and has a very soft texture. The red bean fillings is well mashed, soft and fragrance and sufficient red bean fillings is added in the bun. Other than the normal bun, the traditonal rectangular shape white bread spread with different toppings such as peanut, kaya, butter is another favourite bread that I brought frequently from this bread shop as their bread are very well made which has a soft and spongy texture. continue reading
