I ate here twice previously due to their lobster promotion which is still ongoing (till 31 august). I was craving for some dim sum, so I decided to drop by to try their dim sum. There were not many customers in the late afternoon, so it's quite peaceful, and service was better than usual. As a fan of salted egg yolk custard bun, I had to try it; theirs was quite flat, and although it was oozing, it's not that rich and flavourful. Wouldn't recommend it. The chives and prawns dumplings on the other hand was good, prawns were crunchy. Dim sum costs $3+ per plate on average, and the honey lemon drink costs $3.80. continue reading

Dry Hor FunUnlike the usual soup-based hor fun, this is the dry version with bean sprouts and vegetables. It's quite tasty, just that it's a little too salty.Coffee Spare RibsI love coffee spare ribs! The fragrance of the coffee is well immersed in the smooth and soft texture of the spare ribs... Not hard at all.Steamed Cod Fish in soya sauceCod Fish remain one of my top favourite among other kinds of fishes. This dish tastes quite good as the portion of soya sauce is just right - not too saltyBeijing Roasted DuckAvocado Cream with Sago in CoconutA very special and unique desert that can hardly be found outside. In the coconut, they mix a vanilla ice-cream with avocado cream and topped it off with a few colourful sago. It's quite refreshing and doesn't taste sweet at all. Pan Fried Red Bean PancakeI love this red bean pancake as there are full of roasted sesame bits on top of it, and all smells so great! And when eaten together with the crispy pancake, the combination is just so great and awesome!AMBIENCEThe ambience is quite good, a quiet and peaceful restaurant that you can sit down and have a good chat with your family or friends. However, it's not very spacious, and spaces between tables are quite cramped.SERVICEI love their service. The staffs are very friendly and jovial, and looks so enthusiastic to serve you well. Thumbs-up! continue reading

This relatively new Cantonese restaurant at White Sands had taken over the former premises of "Lerk Thai" - one of my favourite Thai restaurants. I came here with hubby for lunch today after he fetched me from work. This was my second visit here. My first visit here was with 6 other colleagues, we actually ordered all the dim sums on the menu! The portion of the meatballs porridge was big and we shared this between both of us.$6.80Whooo.... our favourite custard buns. Nice! Hubby loved them so much that he took 2. $3.60 for 3For more details and photos, please visit my blog post at:http://ylyn-journal.blogspot.sg/2012/10/peach-garden-white-sands.html continue reading

Love this version of ee fu noodles at Peach garden. The ee fu noodles is the usual smooth and chewy in texture and is full of the fragrant from the nice thick gravy used in it. the added scallops have also made the noodles really sweet and fragrant too. I just do not really like that they have used too much garlic to cook this dish which the garlic taste almost over ride the fragrant from the sauce. Still, is not too at all. continue reading
