I would safely, say Barcook Bakery has one of the most creative flavors and best-tasting buns in Singapore. My personal favorite is the liu sha bun- a soft bun with lava- like salted egg yolk, which we normally see in baos at dim sum. I love this especially much as there is lotsa liu sha filling, which is not oily, and goes perfectly well with the soft bun! It is best eaten hot. Other recommended buns from Barcook, is the Nacho Potato bun, and the Cream Cheese with Raisin bun. continue reading

I pass by this stall on my way to work and was immediately attracted by the nice fragrant of the bread that are just baked out from the oven. Without any hesitation, I bought the satay sausage bun to give it a try. The bread bun texture was really soft and quite moist. The satay sausage was quite chewy and filled with satay fragrant as well. However the portion was quite small, which I need to buy more than a piece to fill my stomach. continue reading

This pandan cake is freshly baked daily and the pandan flavour is really fragrant. The sponge cake is very soft and light in texture. However I still it is abit too plain even though there is a some vanilla cream spread in between it. Would be better if more vanilla cream can be spread in between it will make it taste better. THe price is consider quite reasonable. Do not there are always long queue at this outlet, so do be there early. continue reading

I felt so "Sua Su" not having a chance to tried bread from Barcook Bakery since its opening in Singapore for long. Alexandra is 1 of the latest outlet which opened few months back. I had a cream cheese raisin bread and this is the BEST which I've ate so far. I love the concept of being able to enjoy warm bread straight from bakery and simply love the moist soft fluffy texture. Thumb's up! Will definitely be back for more. I'm gonna try their carrot cake on my next trip! Lolz... continue reading

Look at this as it is "Tomato and cheese" bread! I bought this because i saw it delivering onto the frontage of the shop tray, therefore i assume it is freshly baked and still very warm! When i touch the bread, it's warm and i feel happy like a jumping kid! Because this will warm my stomach and when i bite it, the tomato has the swooshy juice that perks out! together with the warm crumpled cheese is fantastic! continue reading
