Was having a cough so wanted something soupy and hot. I decided to try the duck noodle soup! Usually i will order wantan mee + chicken feet from this stall. For $3, it was quite a good portion. Luckily there was quite a lot of soup too! The aunty also added 3 wantan into the noodle soup and there was some vegetables too. Duck meat is decent though, nothing too special. continue reading

This is one of the few wanton noodle stalls in this food centre. I was there for lunch and there was quite a few customers right in front of me. The portion for $2.50 is quite generous. It came with quite a few slices of char siew as well as vegetable and 4 pieces of wantons in the soup. The texture of the noodle was springy and nice but the char siew turned out to be a little dry. Their wantons have got tasty and generous filling. continue reading

It's not a secret that i am a super big fan of wanton noodle. I have been going around Singapore searching for the best wanton noodle and found quite a few rather good ones so far. I chanced upon this stall this morning and it has this little poster stating the wanton noodle from this stall is one of the top 10s in Singapore in 2011. It sounded rather impressive and it definitely aroused my curiosity so i decided to try it. The portion of $2.50 was good enough to fill an empty stomach, generous serving of vegetable, noodle and slices of char siew, not forgetting the 5 pieces of wantons in the soup that served along with the wanton mee. I would think this was an above average wanton mee, good though not outstanding. I love particularly the 5 pieces of wantons with generous filling of minced meat and water chestnut that brought forth the crunchiness as well as the dried flat fish that give it the nice sweetness. The slices of char siew were tender and tasty, the noodle was rather springy and chewable in texture. Overall, it was an enjoyable plate of wanton noodle.Other than the wanton noodle, they do have dumpling noodle as well as roasted meat noodle. If you have a crazy crave for wanton noodle in this food centre then you should give this stall a shot and then tell me whether do u think their wanton noodle is indeed amongst the top 10s in Singapore. Recommended. continue reading
