This afternoon has went to this restaurant to eat some sliced caked for a light lunch.  Restaurant looks big b ut the inside environment is quite warm and stuffy.  Service was fast but no really that friendly.  Had bought the kaya cake st $2.00 and coffee swissroll cake at only $1.40.  Within $4 is very cheap.  Kaya flavour was quite fragrant but alittle too sweet.   The coffee roll sponge cake was quite dry and not much coffee cream was spread inbetween it.  Not really that tasty. continue reading

I love to buy the chicken pies here. They are very big in size, has super flaky and crispy crust and contains very tasty chicken and potato fillings. I used to patronize the shop at Eastpoint mall but it has since closed down for major renovation. Now I buy them from Century Sq at Tampines.Chicken pie $2.20Check out the layered crust and moist potato filling!Baked Curry puffs $1.60These were not bad too, flaky and crispy crust with spicy potato filling. continue reading

Peaceful and quiet on the Saturday morning and enjoying my cup of coffee is life's enjoyment.I love to take simple ham and cheese sandwich and my wife takes the Tuna mayo , chatting and surfing on the iphone for the news. having the hot cup of coffee and 2 pieces of sandwiches is the start of the morning and only at $7.80 for both of us is really cheap!!!Pros : we like the family style ambience.Cons : staff tend to chit chat among themselves very loudly. Due to the open kitchen concept, we can hear their conversation loud and clear... be it gossips about staff, how they spent their holiday, staffing issues etc etc...However what amaze us, is their customer soft skills - professional They maintain the same greetings and endings with smiles on their faces. continue reading

If you are quite a heavy eater, the chunky chicken pie at Han's will certainly be suitable for you during your meal time. The chicken pie is almost near to a fifteen centremeter long and is filled with lots of generous fillings in it. The fillings include diced chicken meat, lots of green peas, diced carrots, diced whole boiled eggs. The ingredients are fresh and are cooked with thick black pepper gravy. It tastes slightly spicy (due to the black pepper). The crispy pastry with the fillings actually blend in well for the taste. You may also want to dip it with some sweet chilli sauce or tomato sauce to add in some flavour to it. This pie is good as a meal for an adult and is very filling after having it. continue reading

the burgers here are pretty good. in general, the food here is not bad. and the best thing is the price. very reasonable prices. so it always draws a crowd. the food is very good quality and very no frills, which is good. no fancy nonsense. just plain good food. nothing fancy. their pastas are very good. and their meat burgers have generous thick patties. highly recommended. the sweet pastries and cakes are also very good and very well-priced. no over-charging! no ++ nonsense either. continue reading
