Usually I will visit this stall for their fried hokkien mee but this time I tried their carrot cake. Is my first time trying, I had the white one,is actually not bad, fried till quite crispy. Not very salty, tasted just nice. For waiting time took about 10mins during weekend lunch, which is consider quite fast. Service is ok, they will fry on the spot, unlike the previous time I bought the hokkien mee, they already cooked it and put in a pot, which makes me think that it isn't fresh that's why I never go for their Hokkien Mee now. continue reading

I'm not so much of a foodcourt person as I dun reali like dining at a foodcourt. Why would I make an exception this time as I'm tempted to try the mee goreng from this particular stall.I seldom come across this kinda stall which sells mee goreng. Usually their standard is fried carrot cake, fried kway teow, fried oyster and friend hokkien mee. Well, those are the 4 heavenly kings. Prefer this chinese style mee goreng much much more as compared to the indian's style.1stly, more ingredients like prawns, scrambled eggs, peas, fish cake2ndly, not very spicy but it's full of flavours3rdly, chrispy lard bits, that's my motivation for going back for more..... lolz continue reading

I was craving for oysters, so I decided to order the Oyster Egg Omelette ($6) from here. It costs slightly more than the normal oyster omelette because this dish uses only egg and no starch. The egg was fried well- it was well done and flavourful. It goes especially well with the sambal chili provided. The oysters are unfortunately quite small and there weren't as many oysters as I had hoped. The oysters were cooked in some additional broth and this broth was poured over the dish, which made the dish even more fragrant and savory. I also appreciated the copious addition of spring onion and parsley garnishing- which is a must for every oyster omelette dish! continue reading
