Was craving for something warm and spicy on a rainy day and decided to head down to Northpoint's Dong Dae Mun for their Spicy Rice Cakes ($3.50)! The price seemed to have increased as compared to last year when it was still $3 but I guess it's alright since you don't get to find any spicy rice cakes as convenient as from this place, unless you prepare it your own I guess? Since my boyfriend was hungry and he don't take spicy, I got him the Chicken Meatball ($3 for 2) which were fried nicely but perhaps needed more flavouring because it's pretty average on its own, but overall I would definitely return for more spicy rice cakes! continue reading

Dong Dae Mun eatery is a place that sells many varieties of Korean snacks. I ordered this fried chicken with cheese on top of it. The fried chicken was actually not as crispy as compared to those Taiwanese fried chicken, however, the tenderness of the meat is much more better than the Taiwanese fried chicken. The taste of the fried chicken was enhanced upon eating together with the cheese although it was not as crispy after dipping with cheese. Furthermore, the price of the Korean fried chicken is slightly lower than that of the Taiwanese fried chicken. continue reading

The chicken thigh chop is only at 3.90 and the normal chicken breast chop is at 3.50. In my opinion, I think it is really quite inexpensive.I bought this mainly because I could squeeze the amount of condiment of chili sauce and mayonnaise sauce on my own as it is already provided there for us.I took this picture before I add in the condiment because if I do, you all would not be able to see the chicken.I could taste the chili powder as my mayonnaise is too much. But however one thing for sure, their chili sauce is not spicy at all, to me. The staffs are quite friendly, and they did not show me attitude when I request them to cut the meat to a smaller size for easy consumption. The meat was pre-cooked and I would very much prefer them to fry it on the spot and serve hot as I deem best. However, even though it is only warm, the skin is still crispy, and the flesh of the meat is really soft and tender. I wouldn't know about the chicken breast chop one's but yes, you should try this. But do not add too much sauce if you are not a saucy type of person!--SGD under 4. continue reading

Dong Dae Mun is a Korean stall kiosk that sells nice and affordable Korean street snacks, and I definitely love getting some street snack from here when I am not too full or hungry. The Korean rice cake is $3 each box, and they are prepacked so it easy and I don't need to wait for some time to get the thing done. The rice cake is chewy and it tasted awesome with the gravy which is spicy and appetizing. continue reading
