Super yummy ban mian that reminded my home town because the soup is full of fish ball taste, which I had my breakfast since secondary school.I've always been a fan of yong tau foo because of the soup that makes it nice.Reason for me not to eat so much ban mian last evening because my girlfriend and me decided to go for supper at Hai Di Lao @ 313 Sommerset. continue reading

I've always been a fan of yong tau foo and of cuz it's the soup that makes it nice. Normally I will always go for tomyum, because I have this mind set that the normal soup will be tasteless! But nevertheless, i still went ahead to try their normal soup as my colleague said that it was good! And indeed, the soup did sent a punch down! Ive never tried a Yong tau Foo soup that was so sweet before! To sum it all up, it was a fulfilling lunch and i will definitely visit the outlet again. continue reading

This is the hidden gem (I think) in Far East Plaza offering a really huge variety of food from yong tau foo to ban mian, to fish slice soup and bak chor mee. They even have Cantonese style porridge (pork century egg) and chicken cutlet noodles. But for me I am a fan of their yong tau foo as there are quite a number of yong tau foo "ingredients" to choose even if the area of it is small. My favorite is the fried potato and yam! They are really crispy and definitely made fresh cos the fried yam tends to sold out quite fast and you can see the auntie frying the yam behind the counter. The yong tau foo is cheap too! (about $3.50 for 6 pieces + noodles) I had the dry bee hoon version and the portion given is quite a lot. The soup is nice and they allow you to add in as many soy beans as you pleased. Other than the dry version, their laksa gravy is nice too! It is not thick thus it is light but still filled with the fragrant of laksa in it! one down side of this shop is... it is very small! maximum seating capacity is 20 and below and the order area will usually cramp with people waiting for their takeaway orders. Avoid peak lunch hour. continue reading

It has been ages since I last ate yong tau foo or passed by this stall at Far East. I was attracted by the smells I just had to place my order. I had a habit of eating Yong Tau foo with no fried food, so what I ordered was: hot dog, radish, egg, mushroom, egg tofu and carrot. You will have to order a minimum of 6 items which cost would cost $3.50 usually. A current promotion is running for 6 items at $3! Comparatively cheaper! Among all the items I ordered, I liked the radish the most, it was soft and juicy (some other stalls serve hard radish). The rest of the items were pretty normal, boiled food. But I will definitely revisit before the promotion ends. continue reading

Normal pricing at this place.Items on display is nicely place. Items look fresh. Here come my meal. Surpise to see that they don't add in the chilli or sweet sauce for you.But it a added choice for you to add more sauce but still they should added the sauce for you.The staffs there all from PRC. This make you think the food they cook are like from china.??Overall : itz a okay place to go for your lunch...... continue reading
