Was hungry on a typical weekend night and since most of the restaurants and foodcourt here at Northpoint have ridiculously long queue at 7pm, I decided to get some takoyaki at Wow Tako for my dinner! Takoyaki are always good as snack but filling enough to go as light dinner. They always have many different ones to choose from and I always get the octopus one. 3 costs $2.50 and 4 costs $3 so I opted for the latter. They were packed hot and tasted great, didn't have the floury taste and were chewy on the good side. Love it! continue reading

Bought this Takoyaki from Basement one of Northpoint Shopping Centre after not eating for quite some time. Two of them have prawn fillings while the other two of them have squid fillings.I think that it's quite expensive as we can easily get Takoyaki at other places such as Pasar Malam at a much lower price. However, I must say that the fillings in Takoyaki from Wow Tako are much more, hence making them to taste more delicious. continue reading

Bought a box of 5 pieces for $3 during a promotion. Usually $2.50 for a box of 3 pieces.Selected 5 different flavours : scallop, bacon, prawn, tako, salmon. The staff was very generous with the sauce and topping, which overflowed the box.The best choice was the prawn which a whole peeled prawn was inside. The worst one was scallop which barely tasted anything inside. continue reading

It has been quite some time since I had taco balls. Tako balls are quite addictive due to the seasonings used to flavour it. The outer skin is also quite crispy, especially if it is fresh off the tako maker. Wow tako's tako balls are quite average, but still satisfying. I got a box of 3 with tako filling. Topped with teriyaki and mayonnaise sauce, together with the fish flakes, it made up for the less crispy skin and measley tako hidden within the ball. continue reading
