Quizno Subs is a franchise imported from America and it has found its way to the Sunny Island of Singapore and like Subway it serves primarily 'submarines' or sandwiches! A big difference between Subway and Quizno is that Subway allows for more customization and modifications of the sandwiches as compared to Quiznos! However I do feel that the taste of Quizno is much better and tastier than that of Subways! The bread is soft and well toasted, and freshly baked! It was really complemented well by the chicken and sauce! They have many different sauces and meat for you to try, so I decided to just go with chicken as a safe choice and now I wished I had ordered more to try! It was a decent combination and the taste was so much better thanSubways. The only disappointing thing was the customization was limited and I couldn't add all the veggies I wanted like I could at subways! And the waiting time was longer as well but for a higher quality of taste, that wait is justified! continue reading

My girlfriend and I initially wanted to have our dinner at 'Salad Stop' which is located close to Quiznos Sub but the Salad Stop was closed at around 7pm that evening! But thank god that we decided to patronise Quiznos which serve salads as well. We ordered Chicken Caesar Salad and Chicken Caesar Sub (We are chicken lovers ). It was our first time patronising Quiznos. In the past, we always visit Subway. The Chicken Caesar was fantastic and I especially like the part which you can take as much sauces as you like. There are several sauces available. To name a few: honey mustard, BBQ sauce, Red Wine Sauce and etc. The salads are originally served with thousand island sauce i guess. Overall, I think that it's pretty much like Subway but the plus point here is the toasted sandwich and the sauces available for you. You can try a bit of this and that. I will not hesitate to go back again for a simple lunch or dinner there. continue reading

I wondered how different/similar Quiznos would be to Subway. The way of ordering is similar, and the way the staff assembles your order is also similar. I chose the Turkey sub (seems healthier) and the Parmesan cheese bread. The ingredients were fresh and the portions generous. However, I didn't really taste the cheese in the bread although it was still soft and nice. I would like to try the brown bread on my next visit as it seemed like the other diners enjoyed eating their brown bread sub. continue reading

Quiznos Subs first started in Denver, Colorado more than 30 years ago, specialises in toasted subs. Today, it is the second biggest sandwich chain after Subway with more than 4,500 stores. Their recipe to success includes - premium quality ingredients (butcher quality meat, all natural cheese, chef-designed signature sauces, toasted artisan bread - everything gets toasted (not cold)- Every order made to order (can request for extra cheese, bacon, switch ingredients)Quiznos Subs opened its first branch in Singapore in 2009. Currently, there are 6 Quizno Subs stores island wide. Visited Quiznos Subs at CityLink Mall on a Sunday at 11am. It was still early and we were their first customers. Four simple steps teaching customers how to order.Step 1: Choose the sub and size (6 / 9 / 12 inch)Step 2: Choose your Artisan Bread (White Bread, Brown Bread or Rosemary Parmesan)Step 3: Make it a Combo - Add $2.90 for Small Fountain Drink + Chips / Cookie / Soup (cup size) - Add $3.80 for Small Fountain Drink + Side SaladStep 4: Having Here or Takeaway Pepper Bar where you can add on pepperoncinis, jalapenos, banana peppers, pickles or sauce.I ordered a Signature Subs - Classic Italian ($6.50) and made it a combo by topping up $2.90. I chose the Broccoli Cheese Soup. The Broccoli Cheese Soup was surprisingly yummy. It was not too thick nor was it too dilute. In addition, in terms of flavour it was just nice. Creamy with flavours of broccoli and cheese, and also small chunks of broccoli. What a good start to the meal! The Classic Italian (Signature Subs) consists of honey ham, pepperoni, served with salami, lettuce, tomato, olives, red onion, mozzarella and red wine vinaigrette in Rosemary Parmesan. I asked for extra lettuce. (greedy me was tempted to ask for more ham, tomato, cheese and pepperoni. But I was worried that the sandwich will 'explode'). The sandwich was full of ingredients and as evidenced in the photo above, one can hardly close it! The Rosemary Parmesan (bread) was toasted just before serving. It was soft on the inside but a tad too hard on the outside. I quite like how the red wine vinaigrette complement the sandwich, The Honey Bourbon Chicken (Signature Subs) consists of chicken, tomato, lettuce, red onion, honey mustard and zesty grilled sauce served in Rosemary Parmesan. I did not try this, but was told that the chicken meat was well-marinated and tender.I quite like my first Quiznos Subs experience. I am not a sandwich expert. But although Quiznos Subs seems to be $0.50 to $1 more expensive than Subway, its ingredients are fresh and you can ask for extra at no extra cost. Moreover, the Broccoli Cheese Soup makes the cost even more justifiable! (well that's my personal opinion). Looks like Quiznos Subs will be giving Subway a run for its money!Chew on this: The name Quiznos was chosen because the letters Q and Z were the least used in English Alphabet.
