I went to this restaurant located at AMK Hub after shopping for my trip. It was a quick dinner for me as it was quite late. It is a dessert house, however, it does offer some Hong Kong style food as well. One of the good selections in this restaurant. The noodle texture was springy and the wantons were in average sizes. The broth was not very oily but it was a bit tasteless. I added on with some desserts with looked pretty interesting for me. The almond taste was pretty strong and I think it is pretty hard to find a place selling it. And, it came with the yam cake. The yam cake was soft and went well with fried onions. The taste, of course would not be as good as home made yam cake. continue reading

Ordered noodle instead of their specialty, which is dessert Milk Tea - $2.90. Refreshing milk tea with the right amount of sweetness.Wantan Noodle - $5.90. You can choose your noodle to be served dry or soupy. I chose wantan noodle soup. Inside my bowl there were 4 pieces of wantan. The wantans were juicy and flavorful, while the noodle was springy. But overall, not really fulfilling dish haha. continue reading

was feeling sick that day and hence i was craving for some hot porridge. Came to the basement of AMK hub and there is this hong kong dessert shop which sells porridge too.I have ordered "pi dan" and minced pork porridge/congee. gotta say their porridge is pretty decent. The portion is just nice and i like the taste of the pork and the pi dan. taste very fresh. The porridge doesn not contains MSG too as i do not feel thirsty after having it. Overall, i will return to this place again to try our other dishes. continue reading

For the month of July, they have 50% off selected mango dessert items. I had the Mango Lychee Jelly with longan (up $5.90) They still give a large amount of mango base that fills right up to the rim of the bowl even for the promotional items, but the ingredients seems to be much lesser than seen from the menu picture. The lychee jelly was not flavorful enough, but still is smooth. As for the mango base, it can rarely go wrong. It is very sweet and rich in terms of the taste of the fruit The only downside here is the group of fruit flies that was all over the wall on the side which made me feel very uncomfortable. continue reading

Prawn Roll with Ginger ($3.90) : The sauce make a great different to this simple dish.Yam Cake ($1.68) : Not much filling, too much water added.Creamy Yam Pau ($1.68) : Skin a bit too thick, but filling is very smooth.Almond Paste ($2.90) : Wah lau! The paste is not smooth, in fact lumpy. I am wondering is it because it is late so what I am having is leftover at the bottom of the pot. continue reading
