It's my dad's birthday month and as he's a member, he gets to enjoy 50% off the total bill for his first visit, and 30% off for the 2nd visit. We had already utilized the first visit and we're back to utilize the 2nd visit discount as their food is great which is unbeknownst to most people. Baby Crayfish Salad $15 I had a really heavy breakfast so I decided to get a salad for lunch. Their crayfish salad was quite a big portion, consisting of chunks of romaine lettuce, sliced avocado, baby crayfish coated in mayo topped with flying fish roe. Their dressing was homemade wafu dressing with a drizzle of chilli mayo, hence you can taste the slightest hint of spice in the dressing. Everything was really nice and fresh, and I loved the different textures of all the ingredients - the crunch of the lettuce, the sweet and bouncy crayfish and creamy mayo, and the tiny bursts of flying fish roe. I loved this Highly recommended! continue reading

The outlet at anchorpoint is a little small but always with very pleasant staff who understand that we are all pretty rushed during the lunch hour. My favourite time to pop in is a little before 12pm as that is when the crowd has yet to come in. I love their cozy seatings which comes either in a armchair or traditional seating. You will definitely be able to find a seat that suits you.The salmon mentaiko pasta is the one I would recommended to anyone looking for a pasta choice as the creamy tomato base is just divine. The salmon is always cooked perfectly and such a beautiful sight when the dish is set in front of me.I am not a crazy egg fan, so I could never get why a sunny side up is served with this dish. But if you are looking for a pasta that wouldn't disappoint, this would be it! continue reading

This appetitzer from this restaurant is one of the popular choice among the rest of the items stated on their menu. Infact, this is also my favourite item as well. The mushroom has been cooked with creamy sauce so it is very moist and really easy to eat. The scones' pastries are very crispy and baked till really nice golden brown colour. The price may be abit high, but because of its great taste, I will still once awhile come back to have this yummy appetitizer. continue reading

Colleague and I went to TCC @ Anchorpoint for lunch the other day. The interior decoration here looks very relaxing. With pure white colour, the place looks very cozy. I ordered the Mushroom Tortellini Al Arabiatta ($17.50). I love the tangy feeling of the spicy tomato sauce, very appetizing! The mushroom stuffed pasta also well-cooked, neither too hard nor soaky! Good stuff! Colleague ordered the Shrooms & Splash Gratin ($17.50). The penne gratin of shrimps and creamy mushroom ragout is baked till golden colour, topped with the melted cheesy mozzarela. Sinfully tasty! As for sweets, we ordered Royal pumpkin cheesecake ($6) and the Black forest swissroll. Pumpkin flavour is not over-powdering that you still get to taste the hint of cheese flavour. Very well-balanced. The fibered-texture of the cake is a plus too! The Black forest swissroll is a bit too creamy for me, and the berries flavour is not as strong as I wish for. To go with the sweets, we had Azuki Coffee and Café Latte. Both drinks are smooth, with great coffee aroma. However, the champion goes to the Azuki coffee! I never expected the taste of azuki beans would match with the coffee so well. A must try I reckon! continue reading

Being a member of the TCC, I frequently received their new promotions through e-mails and they never failed to surprise me. It could be their update on promotion of their exquisite high tea set or their innovative dishes that complements with the festive season (i.e. during Halloween, they came up with a drink that comes with spooky eyeballs!)I've been visiting the TCC for their coffee, main courses and have also tried their cheesecakes before. However, when my colleague brought in this cake to the office from the TCC, everyone was pretty amazed by it due to its striking violet color. We started guessing what flavor it is and how nice it looks. Some guessed it was dragon fruit, others thought it was blueberry. Even after tasting it, nobody can give a definite answer. It was only after researching on the TCC's website that we found out the answer. This cake was called Royal Cassis for violet is the colour of royalty and cassis is actually a European black currant that was used mainly to make CRÈME DE CASSIS liqueur and black currant syrup. That explains the sour taste to it. With the sweet white chocolate mousse cake and the sour cassis topping, this cake is perfect and refreshing for something different. Try it for a royalty feel. continue reading
