Here with colleagues and I ordered:1) Fried Rice with Fried Chicken Drumstick - the rice is flavourful and a good portion too. The drumstick was nicely deep-fried and can taste the spice that coats the skin. Very yummy indeed.2) Longan Milk Honey - interesting blend of flavours.Colleagues also recommends the following:- Chicken with Horfun- Assam Laksa, not really sour but spicy- Fried HorfunService is prompt and attentive. One con is the powerful aircon makes the food gets cold really fast! Eat fast!!It's high class street food but my rice and drinks are nice! continue reading

FOODServed in their speciality prawn broth, this bowl of prawn noodles is served with with fresh prawns, hard-boiled egg, bean sprouts and water spinach. Their soup is really awesome! Definitely one of the best I've ever tasted. The alluring taste of the soup that lands on your taste buds just keep asking you for more! AMBIENCEAs it was rather crowded indoors, I was offered a seat in their well-decorated outdoor section. It has a very relaxing feel, and makes you feel like sitting there for the rest of the day and just let the world go by.PRICEThe price of their food items are quite reasonable and affordable, and their food menu are all malaysian delights. continue reading

I was planning a group lunch and wanted a Halal place in Star Vista, so we chose PappaRich. I heard that the food here was quite good, so we came here to try. I've considered trying it before, but I baulked at the steep prices for what I feel can be had at much lower prices in hawker places.Anyway, here I am and in my usual style, I chose a dish where I can taste the most number of items at one go Tada....the super rich combo! It has nasi rice served with a fried chicken drumstick, braised beef, potato, hard boiled egg, lady finger, pappadum and sambal.Let me break down each of the food items for you yah....I started with the pappadum which was crispy, tasty and not oily. A good appetiser to start the dish off. You can try dipping it into the delicious sambal sauce at the side. The yellow nasi rice (probably cooked with tumeric) was lightly spiced with indian herbs and had raisins, peas and carrots in it. The rice was light-tasting enough to go well with the heavier flavoured sides. When my dish came, you can smell the fragrance of the fried chicken drumstick. I usually don't like fried stuff but boy, this drumstick is really good! The skin was fried till just crispy and there wasn't much fat beneath the skin. The chicken within was tender, juicy and well-marinated. One of the best fried chicken drumsticks I've had in a while. The braised beef was very lean and well-marinated. I would have preferred it to be a bit more tender but some people might prefer this if they like some bite to their meat. The sauce was spicy with hints of sweetness to it.The one piece of curry potato given was good. The curry flavour has permeated through the potato and it was delicious. Well, judging from this piece of potato, I'm pretty sure the curry chicken will be good too since the curry was very nice. The hard boiled egg and the single piece of blanched lady's finger seemed like an after-thought to just boost the number of items in the dish. Oh well, at least I like these items even though I will prefer to have more than just one lady's finger. Interestingly, my dish had one whole squid in it too, even though it was not mentioned in the menu. Well, I'm not complaining. The squid was cooked in a spicy-sweet sauce and was pretty good. The serving size for the dish was big, but I think that is what's expected since they are charging $16.90++ for it. If you don't mind splurging on authentic nasi briyani in a restaurant, this will be a good choice - The Super Rich Combo ($16.90++) continue reading

When reached there, the atmosphere was so pretty, sitting on the roadside with no worries about the surroundings.I ordered the chicken curry with plain rice and seafood with noodles. Overall, the price & service also not bad. Had a good experience and will recommend to my friends and will come again next time continue reading
