We have planned for this lunch for a few days, because eating out on a restaurant is always an event for our family. My husband, my daughter and myself were all dressed up when we went to visit new york new york in Marine parade, as we wanted to appear presentable for such a good looking place. We were welcomed by our waiter and we were seated as soon as we arrived, which is really great. We looked at their menu and decided to order A Salad, Roast Chicken, and fish and chips for our daughter. My daughter then suddenly spotted the cotton candy machine in the corner and asked me if we can have one, the waiter just nearby and waiting for our orders said that we can have a free cotton candy for our daughter anytime after the meal. Which is just great for our daughter. It was a welcomed surprise as my daughter loved cotton candiesOur order arrived within 10 -15 minutes and we were ready to dig in, it all looked really great. The Salad was okay, it was a bit lacking in dressing, so we asked for a little bit more from the waiter. We were given a generous amount shortly after. The salad dressing in caesar flavor was a bit disappointing to me, my husband liked it though, he likes anything that has lettuce in it. The flavor seems off from what I remember of what a Caesar Sauce should taste like, but I still went ahead and ate as much as I could.Time for the Roast Chicken, It smelled heavenly and the presentation was impeccable, but the taste is a bit bland and the chicken was dry, and overcooked. I'm sure though that with a little bit more seasoning and a little less time in the oven this roast chicken would have been amazing. The Fish and chips was the most disappointing part of our meal, as it was for our daughter, I figured fish and chips would be the safest choice, children loves anything deep fried and served with fries, but I was wrong. The Fish Fillet was a bit too oily and the taste of the fish was as though it was no longer fresh, my daughter refused to eat it, so we ended up buying her a burger in mcdonalds after the meal. The cotton candy was the bit my daughter enjoyed so much, but we have no intentions of coming back to the restaurant again. It was just a little bit too disappointing for its price. continue reading

Mt up with my friends at new york new york for dinner. We went early so there were not much crowd and manage to get a comfortable seating area. It is more of a western type of restaurant. They offer quite a lot of varieties, from sandwich, to burgers, to pasta, to baked rice. Service were not bad, food came rather quickly and hot. No complains at all. continue reading

My hubby wanted to eat ribs for a long time after watching the "Licensed to Grill" episode, so we decided to try the ribs at New York New York. We ordered the fried oyster for a start , and the oyster tasted rather stale. Thankfully that they had drizzled some wasabi sauce on top, or it would have really tasted quite awful. I do like the main course which I ordered for myself. The baked fish was great as it does not taste oily. I like the way my fish was done in this way. Feels healthier. continue reading

After a long time, I have myself having new york new york for my dinner. and i realize they have some new dishes. (probably cause i have not been here quite some time.) and i try their 'spicy penne seafood tomato in parchment paper'. when the food came, i immediately start my cutlery. the pasta is nice, it isn't overcook. so the texture is excellent. they give a generous amount of seafood in the dish.(much more than i expect which it wins my heart.) the sauce wasn't too spicy as it is a mixture of chilli and tomato sauce. so to a person like me who can't take spicy food, are able to give this a try. continue reading

Had my all time favourite root beer float. Being a cheese lover, i was tempted to try their cheese sticks. Was pretty blend. Like a stick of tastless fried rubber-like food. Yucks.. Ordered their super long hotdog. Ewww.. I hate mustard. Please let the staffs know if you don't want it. They didn't even ask me =( Ended up i had to scoop it away myself. All in all, food was edible but nothing to rave other than the root beer! continue reading
