My fiance and I decided on Sabroso after much thought on where to go for dinner and we were not disappointed. It was our first time there and we felt, this was the place for us. Because we live in the area, sabroso is very an easy place to get to.We loved the sevice and the ambience there, ashamed to say we had our reservations at first because holland v used to sport a similar outfit which was grotesquely overpriced and didnt have the quality to match. Thus when we decided on Sabroso, we were abit skeptical. However i must say, Sabroso exceeded our expectations.I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to eat in Holland Village.Like us, you wont be disappointed. continue reading

This is a place you must go!I love the food, the place and the drinks there! My friends and I were heading down to Wala Wala and were intrigued by this new place so we decided to check it out.We weren't famished so Tapas was perfect for the occasion.(although i must say we regretted eating before heading down to Sabroso cause we would have loved to stuff ourselves with the Tapas!!!)We had the portobello mushrooms which was UBER GOOD!!The paella mariscos which had a nice texture and they used AUTHENTIC ARBORIO RICE unlike some restaurants that claims they do when it doesnt even taste close to arborio. The calamari rings were nice but not unique.\The best dishes you have to try has to be the SCALLOPS AND GARLIC PRAWNS*faints*it was so good my friends and I went for round 2 for these two dishes! They also had an Oktoberfest promo that offered 2 tapas with a bucket of beer so it was AWESOME!!!!!Overall the place was very nice and casual. It was the perfect place to chill with friends and frequent. We finally found a new place to hangout at for good!!! SABROSO TAPAS WINE BAR IS LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE <3The ambience was perfect, we stayed from 10pm to about 1am or so. continue reading

Sabroso Tapas Wine Bar, the latest Tapas wine bar at Holland Village. Sabroso is officially opened on 1 st October, which is just 3 days ago. Sabroso means delicious, flavourful and tasty and they hoped to offer delicious Spanish Tapas with an Asian Twist .The MenuThey offer light spanish tapas but they are still in the mist of updating their menu therefore some of the tapas listed in the menu are not ready and there aren’t much selections . According to the chef, they would be introducing new tapas gradually to the menu.Garlic prawns ($11+)6 succulent prawns marinated with some spices and lightly sauteed with bits of garlic. The garlic bits were lightly burnt and infused with sweetness of brown sugar. The bits of garlic complement very well with the prawns.Pan Broiled Scallops ($10+)The scallops were bouncy and juicy, bursting with flavours in each bite. There were strong flavours of coriander and spring onions due to the garnishes on the scallops. The sauce were infused with white wine and it goes well with the scallops. Thumps up!Verdict: Prices are reasonable and they absorb the 7% GST for these 2 weeks. Bring along a friend for buffet dinner & get a complimentary bottle of wine ( promotion ends 31 Oct). continue reading
