There's usually a queue for tables, and the wait for food takes inordinately long as well. I'm not entirely convinced that the long waiting times are justified by the standard of the Thai cuisine served at Thai Tantric; Sapunsa is of equal standing and Jane Thai Food isn't too shabby either. We had:1) Moo Tod Kra Theam ($10): liked the garlic and pepper seasoning, not so much the deep fried pork; it was dried out, stringy and tough to chew.2) Paad Kra Pow Moo ($10) - stir-fried minced pork with basil and chilli: passed muster, luscious and punchy.3) Gang Khiao Waan Gai ($10) - green curry chicken: sumptuous, fiery and elevated by the succulent chicken morsels.4) Tom Yum Goong ($10) - Thai spicy and sour soup with prawns: blazingly spicy, but let down by prawns that were alkali-ed to death.5) Khao Pad Tom Yum ($6) - tom yum flavoured fried rice with chicken: must try; It was robust, flavourful, and bright with the liberal use of kaffir lime leaves

this place is quite hidden in orchard towers. You've got to walk further in before you notice this eatery which is also quite small and seats are rather limited.sambalkang kong the portion was very huge (for 2 people) and we couldn't finish it. This will be good for 3-4 people. The seasoning was good and taste was nice.phad thaithe phad thai here, unlike the ones i had eaten, are much darker in colour. the taste was quite average and not worth a special try but if you crave for phad thai, it will be able to satisfy your cravings still.service was quite slow, took about 15 minutes for orders to arrive.

This was my first time eating in Orchard Towers and it's not exactly the most posh place to have a meal at. Anyway, our boss recommended an "authentic thai food" restaurant here, so we decided to stop by for lunch.I ordered the Pienapple Fried Rice which is one of my favourite Thai food. It's definitely different than the usual thai food you get at Thai Express and other places. Their rice is especially fragrant and although it was moist, the rice did not clump together. Plus there was a generous serving of chicken floss on top!The serving was a little bit too much for me but I couldn't help but keep eating it because the rice was really quite good. In the end, I did not manage to finish the whole plate of rice but it was definitely a satisfying lunch. This was a first for me. Since everyone else ordered a "Thai Milk Tea", I also went ahead to order one. It was only after the staff left that I turned to ask my colleagues what exactly is a Thai Milk Tea. haha! Anyway, it came as this deep orange colored drink which was rather sweet and had a unique flavour unlike the normal Teh-bing you get at the coffeeshops.Overall, the food was good but the place seemed a little dodgy so I probably won't return here again unless my colleagues pull me along.

This is my first time eating at Thai Tantric and also my first time stepping into Orchard Towers. My first impression is that this restaurant may be a little bit hard to find as it's located at a corner on the 3rd floor. Came here to eat lunch together with my colleagues. My Thai tea, which cost $2.This is my first time trying out Thai tea. It has a muddy orange colour but I like the taste of it. However it was a bit too sweet.I also ordered minced pork rice that comes with an egg and basil leaves, one of the usual dish that I would order at any Thai cafe/restaurant. Here's the photo of it:This dish cost $6. The presentation of the dish wasn't that fantastic. It looked so plain, with an egg placed on top of the rice and the minced pork mixed with basil leave on the opposite side. To me, the food portion and taste was just nice. The minced pork and the sauce tasted nice and I like it. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 as mediocre and 10 as very yummy, I would give this dish a rating of 6. I like the minced pork mixed with basil leaves and egg and I think it tasted much better than the other Thai cafe situated at Far East Plaza basement. We also ordered some chicken wings to share, which cost $10 for a plate of 7 chicken wings. I think this plate of chicken wing is a little expensive and it tasted normal too. Also, each chicken wing was oily and I don't think it will appeal to health conscious individuals. But to me, I don't mind. Haha... Here's the photo of the chicken wings, which I would give a rating of 5.

Been to this place a few times already but have not tried their fried glass noodle ($7) before. The glass noodle color is darker than the usual fried tang hoon of cze char stall. It's fried together with chicken pieces, baby kailan, carrots and egg. I would give its taste 8/10 being a person fond of unhealthy fried stuff Both the food portion and taste were just right for me. I also ordered fried chicken to go along but i would rate that pretty normal and for the price of $10, its on the high side.
