I was staying at the Oasia Hotel, when I was trying to go to Singapore Zoo via MRT, I saw this food stall and decided to have a taste of nasi lemak. And this, my friend, was not a wrong choice. I loved the chili sauce, chicken wings, and fish, not to forget the amount of the rice. The chicken wing is so crispy and tender, the fish is very chewy, the chili sauce spicy and sweet at the same time. All is to my liking. continue reading

Great supper place, it was a famous hanging out eatery for sinful meal. I was willingly to queue at Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak for late dinner, business was brisk and never-ending orders came up. Service was promptly efficient, staffs always appeared energetic and ready to serve. Ought to have the recognition “The Best Hawker Food”, food displayed was amazingly tempting.Rice was flavourful and tasty, fragrance of Coconut Milk did not overpower the Pandan Leaf’s hint. Chicken wings were constantly thrown into hot oil and replenished the one that had been sold. Well-marinated and freshly-fried chicken was crisp at skin then juicy tender inside, sizzling hot with appealing texture. Fish fillet was nothing much different, crunchy softly moist for my liking. Whereas Sambal was excellent, it was slightly sweet and gave a lovely fiery punch. Set B with Chicken Wing was $3.00, the price was pretty reasonable. Nevertheless please be prepared, there was a lengthy lining up in front the stall. continue reading

Having stayed in Jurong for the past 14 years, Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak has been a constant supper staple. The rice is fragrant and fluffy and the chilli is something to die for. What's more, they have a large variety of sides for you to choose from - fried kuning fish, chicken wings and drums, eggs, fish cakes, fillets, achar, eggs, otahs and the list goes on.However, be prepared to queue up to 45 mins on any nights, due to the number of people "tabao-ing" for their friends, families and co-workers. So if you are in Boon Lay area past midnight and your stomach is growling, don't forget there is always Nasi Lemak to fill your stomach. continue reading

I was craving for some nasi lemak one day when I chance upon the power nasi lemak store. The aromatic rice fragrance was already lingering in the air around the store and that was convincing enough for you to try it. I ordered their set which consists of a fish fillet, hotdog and egg. I also added ikan bilis and peanut. Their fish fillet was super delicious as it was very crispy on the outside but yet soft in the inside which is quite hard to get this kind of standard at any food centre. The rice was so tasty that you can just simply eat it alone without any side dishes. Cannot wait to try it again! continue reading

I was shopping at novena square 2 with my mum and sister when we came across a stall of the boon lay power nasi lemak. We are all avid lovers of the boon lay power nasi lemak and were surprised to find a branch in the shopping mall hence we decided to give it a try. I ordered their nasi lemak with egg, fish fillet, hot dog and ikan bilis.it was really good. their rice was very fragrant and aromatic. The egg was a little hard though. The fish fillet was very crispy and it was not dry. the hot dog was very soft and juicy. I love their sambal, very sweet and spicy. It is almost as good as their main stall! continue reading
