Mentioned about Fishball Noodles, many probably will think of some popular stall islands-wide. Really the most uniquely Singaporean dish I found, it catered to local appetite always. I am going to recommend a humble stall in Chinatown area, Lai Huat provided a scrumptious bowl of Minced Pork or Fishball Noodles undeniably. Well-maintained and clean, the business was running by a middle-aged couple. Flexible noodle and soup selection, patrons were allowed to mix and match according personal preference.Authentic enough, soup was served with fishballs, meatballs, fishcakes and sliced pork. Hearty warm while fishballs were in bouncy texture, we fully appreciated the flavoursome soup. Sweetness and fragrance naturally burst out from ingredients, overall was excellently seasoned. Thinly plain Kway Teow remained springy, not overcooked as well as slippery smooth. Some spring onions were drizzled on top, it enhanced the taste more or less. Economy and convenient way to solve my lunch, price was only $3.50. continue reading
