I read about Amasoy from reviews online and I was wondering about how it tasted like. Finally, I had a chance to try as I was at Clementi and there is an outlet nearby. The menu is rather simple and it seems like they have more drinks than puddings. There are only the five flavours for pudding while for drinks, there are quite a variety. However, since I was there to try their pudding, I decide to just buy the Matcha Soy Pudding only. Each pudding costs $2. Toppings come at an additional 50cents. The draw of the puddings are that is is enhanced with collagen & omega3 and the pudding is made with 100% organic soy beans. I have to admit that the pudding is really smooth and melts in your mouth immediately. The pudding is also not very sweet, just right and I love the matcha taste. It is not too strong or too light, but the flavour came out very well. I love it. At $2, it is more expensive since it is a smaller bowl, but worth having once every now and then! continue reading

My first try for AmaSoy. Have heard about it from food blogs and wonder what is so special so since I'm there at Clementi, may as well I go for it. They have puddings and milk drinks. I go for the drink to save the hassle. They don't have Mango Milk Drink today so for a start, I try their Original Soy. The usual 3 steps that bubble tea shops have (Choose your drink, Choose topping and Choose sugar level) is here to apply too. So I added Hokkaido Milk Jelly (extra $0.50) with a 50% sugar level.I am basically drinking milk. But this milk has a jelly. The jelly given is not much or it melts into the drink after sometimes. With the overwhelming taste of milk, I can't really tell how nice is the jelly. To me is quite usual. Nothing to rave. The milk taste is like condensed milk being diluted. Well... after so much of raving I see online, I think I better go for their pudding instead of milk drinks. Maybe it is the saving grace for their other products. continue reading

The good thing of residing in Clementi is that it has one of the highest number of bubble tea and soya beancurd stalls, such as Lao Ban, 51 Beancurd, Mr Soy and Amasoy.Different from the traditional soya beancurd, newer renditions like Lao Ban and Amasoy's served it pre-mixed, and using a special recipe to ensure that their soya beancurd is smooth and silky. To be honest, I can't differentiate between the newer versions of soya beancurd. But who cares, they make a great aftermeal dessert and taste great too. continue reading
