I went over to Katong Sin Chew to grab their curry bun. Usually they will be out of the oven at around 1.30pm. I will always be there and fight with other customers to get the curry bun because it is really yummy when it is piping hot, even if it is not, it will still be so yummy. Generous chicken big piece of meat and potato were found in it! Besides the curry bun they have cream bun, blueberry, hotdog, cheese, butter and many more. Besides that they still have loaves of bread which will be on display too. Their milk powder bread was very good too, it's an old-school sort of long cream bread. The only thing which I don't like is that the breads are not labelled so just have to gamble by picking them I have difficulties in differentiate the curry and vegetable bun! Be there early if not the small little shop will be filled with queues and squeezing customers with their trays full of buns! continue reading

Time of visit : 3pmWhat we had : Luncheon Meat Bun, Plain Hotdog Bun, Plain Burger Bun, Char Siew Bun & Sugar Butter Bun Average cost/pax : $8Ambience : WAR ZONE !! Tongs as swords, trays as shields, always crowded at teatime. Service : Breads are not labelled and all over the place, if ask auntie she tells you "it's there it's there" although different bread has "different design" but you have to be a regular patron to know which is which. Portion : Big & Fluffy bread; still taste good even left overnight. Can always smell the aroma of the bread when approaching from the carparkLocation : HDB area' public carpark behind. Walking distance from bedok interchange. What's good in particular : Breads are freshly made daily. From what I've observed, 3pm for bread with fillings and 6pm for plain loaf bread. Has great old school nostalgic feel. What's bad in particular : Breads not labelled. ABiteOfEverything.com continue reading
