Was looking for a budget place to dine at in town during lunch. So i have decided to try this yong tau foo place at far east plaza that my friend has recommended. I ordered 7 ingredients (2 hotdog, golden mushroom, button mushroom, seaweed chicken, potato and meatball) with noodles and soup and it cost me $5.60. I would say that it is a bit pricey as compared to normal yong tau foo in hawker centers. However, the food are really fresh and nice! The soup is really tasty and it does not contain alot of MSG (as I don't get thirsty after eating that ) The sauce given are very nice too, different from the usual sauce from other hawker. The only bad point for this place is the limited seating of the shop. Overall, i find it value for money and I will definitely visit again.

Where to find the cheaper food in Orchard ? It's either Lucky Plaza or Far East. Today recommend the Orchard Yong Tau Fu located at Far East Plaza. During the lunch time, the Orchard Yong Tau Fu always "full house". Many peoples who work nearby the orchard will go and have lunch. The yong tau fu there is fresh and the home-made sauce is special. But here, I would recommend the dried one that you can try the sauce mixed with the noodles and those yong tau fu. It's awesome,

I'm not really a fan of yong tau fu but I like this one! I went at 6+ today and there were plenty of seats and no queue. 7 pieces of ingredients will cost $4.90. My total bill was $5.90. Even though the ingredients were rather ordinary, the soup was what made them delicious. Already very flavourful on its own, the yong tau fu ingredients further enhanced its taste. There was quite a large variety of ingredients to choose from too.

The very first time i went there. There's long queue as the stall is small one. When you order, they guy will tell queue number and then have to wait againabt 10-15 mins. However, their soup taste is quite nice, added soy bean. The price is $4.9 for 7 pieces (exclusive of noddles/rice/beehoon).It costs $5.9 after additional rice for dabao. The vege, tofu and other items are just as common taste.

First got to know this new stall opening thru a flyer distribution along orchard mrt tunnel. Stall front is not that big, accommodating to around 18 diners at one go. Typical YTF stall without indication of any signature item. I do like the fact the y hv fried luncheon meat though. Also i realized both their sweet sauce and chilli is mixed with sesame seeds, that's quite innovative actually. Soup taste with pretty common, with soya beans also provided. My set costs $7, i did not go for noodles. i like it they hv water cress as a vegetable option.
