Fruit Paradise is a Japanese Patisserie specialising in fruit tarts made with light, sweetened Japanese cream topped with fresh fruits. Free of addictives and preservatives, Fruit Paradise also wins points because their fruit tarts are just so camera friendly. However, while their fruit tarts certainly look healthy, they aren't... packed with a lot of cream within.Ambience at Fruit Paradise is casual, with functional furniture and white wooden colours. Most people opt for takeaway though. If dining in, ask to sit near the kitchen, which is viewable through the open glass. You can watch the chefs carefully stacking the fruit tarts!Service at Fruit Paradise is as casual as the ambience, which is decent for takeaway, but not so good for dining in. Most Fruit Paradise have staff take your order, and serve it to the table, but payment is at the counter. Don't expect much from the service here. While Fruit Paradise mainly deals in desserts, they do have a small selection of Japanese curry rice dishes. The main dishes aren't that great, stick to their beautiful fruit tarts instead! While I certainly understand using cream as a technique to hold the fruits together, I do wish they had more fruits instead of cream! The signature Mixed Fruits tart consists of a crumbly biscuit base and light custard mousse topped with 9 varieties of fresh fruits, including red apple, green apple, mango, orange, grapefruit, kiwi, strawberry, blueberry and banana. The taste is an burst of sour citrus and sweet sugar.Full Fruit Paradise review here: http://ivanteh-runningman.blogspot.sg/2014/02/fruit-paradise.html continue reading

Fruit Paradise have one of the nicest looking fruit tarts around Singapore and it always makes me look twice when I pass by. To match up to its beautiful appearance, it taste quite nice. I ordered a berry chocolate fruit tart this time and I really like the crust they use. The cream is not too overpowering but the berries were slightly on the sour side. I will definitely recommend it to people who have yet to try their fruit tarts. continue reading

It is actually my kind of thing that I visit another restaurant/cafe for separate desserts. This not only give me a new environment to experience but also the chance to capture the first impression of a new place. The Fruits Paradise has actually been in Singapore for years, but I have no idea why I didn't try it in the past.Have ordered the Strawberry Tiramisu ($6.80) to try, this healthy-looking tart tasted fresh and light with hint of sweet and bitter in between. The crust is well-made and I believe that's the key to a perfect tart. A good 4.5/5. Sadly, only left enough money to stomach one tart, but my next visit I'm hoping on trying their mixed berries chocolate or seasonal fruits versions. continue reading

I have always wanted to try the tarts at Fruits Paradise whenever I passed by their outlets at either Vivo or Raffles City. One day while walking around at Vivo, my family and I passed by and we decided to drop by after my mum saw me staring wistfully at the tarts display. My sister got the Chocolate Mont Blanc while I had the Blueberry Tart (was deciding whether to get the blueberry or the mango but ended up with the former). We also ordered coffee and lemon tea. The tarts came beautifully presented with some sauce art and after snapping a few pics we dig in!The blueberry tart was awesome with its bottom biscuit base (at the sides as well), cream in the middle and some sponge cake in between before it is topped with blueberries. Quite a nice combination.I didn’t try the mont blanc much since I am not a big fan of chocolate much. My fleeting impression of the cake is that it has a slight chestnut flavour in it and yeah. I am glad I ordered the fruit tart.I had be interested to visit again and try their wide selection of fruit tarts but it would be a long while before I return, what with the influx of new bakeries and shops in Singapore. continue reading
