Signature Dishes
Located at Funan it doesn't sound like a place for great food but A-Roy has gained its reputation here in Thai food in this mall for electronics. The most delicious food we had during dinner is the clay pot rice noodles with prawns. The prawns are just cooked and not chewy. The taste immersed into the rice noodles and you could hardly resist it when it's with the hot clay pot.Green curry with pork is the second dish we had and the curry is in good balance of flavour: not excessively sweet, with exciting spicy flavour, and the herbs give its complicated taste. Super.Coconut milk chicken soup is very interesting. Unlike many Thai restaurants it's not very thick but it's addition of herbs and tomatoes give traces of sweetness from the creamy and silky coconut soup.Fish cakes of course are good because of you could taste the fish esp when it's matched with its home made sauce.Service is quick and nice. 👍👍👍

A-Roy Thai restaurant was a staple of Thai cuisine in Singapore, they represented typical food, great environment and with reasonable price. It was the place I always visit whenever with friends or family throughout these years, somewhere brightly cozy and comfy cheerful. Mild version curry, it was Green Curry with Chicken. Differentiate by colour, Thai style curry was usually made with green curry powder and focused more in sweetness. Tender chicken cubes were soaked in richly thick gravy, full of coconut milk aroma. Portion was for one person, it served along with a plate of rice. $6.00 was the price, it definitely worth a try.

For the full review with photos, please click on http://thehungrybunnie.blogspot.com/2011/10/roy-thai-funan-digitalife-mall.htmlA-Roy Thai at Funan is perpetually filled during lunch time and it's easy to see why. The eatery serves up value-for-money Thai-Chinese food that's familiar and comforting.I had:1) Beef Noodle Soup ($6.90) - robust and generously filled with tender beef chunks, and crunchy beansprouts to cut through the heady, full-flavoured broth2) Tom Yum Seafood ($13.90 for small) - spicy to the hilt and loaded with fresh squid rings, sweet huge prawns, fish slices and mushrooms

A-Roy Thai is a simple thai restaurant on the 3rd floor of Funan Digital Mall. We visited the restaurant on a saturday afternoon and the restaurant looked promising as it was about 3/4 filled. Most of the patrons were families and they ordered in a 'zi-char' style ie. rice and many dishes. The most fragrant dish was the curry - it really made me feel like ordering curry too. And the pandan chicken on the table beside us looked great too.I ordered a kwey tiao with chicken in clear soup. The soup is rather too sweet for my liking, but otherwise the dish was not bad. The kwey tiao used is of the thick sort and the chicken is actually lumps of minced chicken. It cost 6.90, not inclusive of GST and service charge.

Otah In Coconut - this was really special with the steaming of the Otah INSIDE the husk of a coconut! The Otah is therefore quite soft and mushy. With chunks of seafood, the combination and taste is really quite heavenly!! A-Roy Thai really has good stuff for it to stay in Funan for such a long time and after trying for myself, I can understand why now. Definitely a winner!!
