Tried this place... Coz everywhere was so packed! I was alone for lunch as usual, so I just tried coz the food looks ok. But to my suprise this place served the nicest chicken rice. Soft fragrant rice with Juicy Chicken. The chili also not bad. Some more the ang moh boss himself was working the cashier. Really quite good! The place is also clean and I will be back for more a nother day. continue reading

For me, when going Somerset, I would not come across with this place. Since our lunch time is actually quite rush, we decided to settle our lunch at Ang Mo's Family Cafe. The restaurant was not too big, just only two rows of tables. Yet, there were still a lot of choices for food selling there. You may choose either fried kway teow and rice or soup-base noodles and meehoon. While, the set meal is valuable. Only $4.80, you can get one main dish and one can drink. Without time wasting, I ordered Fried noodles with Malay style. A bit spicy but very delicious with their chef's secret recipe. A decent noodle but surprisingly full of seafood's aroma.Another must try dish, chicken rice which come along with savoury soup. The chicken was tender and soft. One more thing, the Hainanese style chilli was so tasty when you eat only with plain chicken rice. Never thought this small cafe can give us so much satisfaction. The lady boss was friendly and the food served very fast once you ordered. About the price, it was non-gst chargeable. continue reading

this shop name sounds interesting,so decided to come here and try with my colleague..these are their menu..1st 2 are their set meal promo..they do sell mixed economic rice too..it is just beside the cashier counter..their set meal's canned drink, u can choose the drinks u want, all u need is grab from the "fridge" after paying..shoudl you need ice, just request from them..as u can see from my picture, i ordered laksa set meal which cost $4.80..feels that the price is normal in town area.thank god there isn't any cockles.. cox i don't eat at all..the ingredients are slices of fishcakes, prawns and half a egg..the gravy of the laksa is thick, however, if it is slightly spicier, would be awesome! continue reading
