Christmas is here again! The log cake is in the festive. I decided to have a change of flavor to durian log cake instead of the traditional chocolate log cake. Firstly, the colour is brighter. I chose not to have too much decoration on the cake as I was afraid that the chemical on the décor would have chemical reaction on the cake. I chose a plain cake. The cake is just like a swiss vanilla rolled cake. The only difference is that it was spread with durian paste to make the difference. The durian was not sweet and neither was it too creamy. The texture of the cake is also soft and smooth. The cost of the logged cake is $40.

My brother-in-law's birthday falls on the same day as Nizam. After celebrating Nizam's Birthday on Sunday with the A-Team, I had another Birthday celebration with my family for my bil. Daryl requested for a vanilla cake and after going to all the bakery at Bukit Panjang Plaza, only Swee Heng Bakery has small Fruit Cake with Vanilla Sponge Cake. Sis & Bil commented that the cake is very old-fashioned @_@ The cake although look old-fashioned, it is very soft & fluffy. The fruits on the cake are also very sweet!

Not long ago, Swee Heng Bakery has introduced Taiwan Steamed Cake. It looks very similar to Breadtalk's steam cakes and being a fan of them, i must try these made by Swee Heng. These steam cake comes in assorted flavour like original, marble, chocolate and sesame. As i have never tried sesame flavour before, i opted for it. It taste really moist and soft just like Breadtalk ones. I am really pleasantly surprised to find custard filling inside. The filling really won more points in my heart compared to Breadtalk as i am someone who prefer stuff with fillings instead of plain ones. Really happy with it!

The breads from this bakery are fresh and baked daily. It is located at the bukit panjang, I pass by here to today and decided to grab one and stand by for breakfast tomorrow. The bread is soft and fragrant even 1 day later and will not spoil too. It is good for take-away or quick bite, I order the cheese and hotdog and the cheesy is nice, I re-heat with oven and it is still fresh and crispy for the next day breakfast.

Swee Heng Bakery offers a wide variety of breads. I believe they came a long way having opened so many outlets around Singapore. I bought a pizza bread to try. Being a pea-hater, I selected the tuna flavor which was simple and yummy as well! There is a generous amount of mayonnaise and cheese. Almost as good as your regular pizza toppings! The pineapples are juicy and it feels really good to sink your teeth into the pizza bread.
