Dessert was settled at the dessert stall in plaza sing's kopitiam. ordered the ice jelly with aloe vera and there's only one word to describe it - tasteless. I guess the stall people forgotten to add the sugar syrup on the shaved ice because all I can taste is ice and ice water. no sweetness at all. squeeze the lime in and it become sour lime water. the ice jelly itself is tasteless and bland too. the only sweetness comes from the aloe Vera bits but too bad the portion is too little to sweeten the whole thing. a very bad dessert indeed. continue reading

was surprised by the ice kacang here as the last time we had it, it was terrible. this time it was very good. full of ingredients! very very generous with the red beans. loved every bit of it. reasonably priced too. i prefer the brown sugar syrup but their balance of other flavours was good. one of the best ice kacang we've had so far! highly recommended. continue reading

Tow Suan at $2 a small bowl is a bit expensive and especially when its too sweet and lumpy to my tastebud. However, they do sell other hot and cold desserts like green beans soup, ice kajang with different flavours like mango, durians, sea coconut with ice, logans with ice, chendol etc..Services is fast as the stall is not big but they have 2 people manning the stall and sitting areas are plenty as it's in a big food court in Plaza Singapura. continue reading
