I was rather intrigued by the red bee hoon that I see on other tables so I decided to try it for myself to see how it tasted like. The person at the stall said that it was fried with mutton and tomato and other spices which gives the bee hoon the bright red colour. When I know it costs $3.50, I thought it is rather expensive but later I realised that the portion is actually quite large and I had a little difficulty finishing it. The bee hoon is very tasty with the spices that went into cooking it. It is also very lightly spicy and the bee hoon used had quite a bit of bite in them. It is a little greasy though, so it is best to share it. Even though the portion is large, it is still a little expensive as it is only bee hoon fried with some vegetables and there is no meat. continue reading

Tried the mutton here that is cooked with lots of greatly blended spices and the flavours are really good. Had the mutton dish and the dish went really well with a bowl of freshly cooked, piping hot white rice. The dish is not too spicy and the flavour is really good. The other curries such as the chicken and mutton curry are also really nice and worth a try. Good food at an affordablle price. continue reading

This is one of my favourite bee hoon goreng around. my father would walk over to this coffee shop and get the family this aromatic and extremely large portion of the bee hoon goreng. they fried mutton with the bee hoon goreng. their mutton does not have the strong mutton smell. the meat in fact is pretty tender and juicy. the bee hoon is a little spicy on its own, probably cos they added a little spices to fry it. as a whole the portion is so huge that my mum and sister had to share a packet. continue reading

My mother and I shared a packet of Nasi Goreng from this Indian Muslim Stall. We seldom share food but the portion was absolutely large. It was a pile of rice that was bursting out of the packet. the rice is very fragrant, probably because they fried it with some spices. the ikan bilis were very crispy and a little salty. the rice was very chewy and went well with the crispy ikan bilis. what's more? it is very cheap too. since we split among two people, each person only cost $1.75 and we were both really full. continue reading
